Thanks for the upload rex - I didn't know half of Ed's story before that article.  Good read.  :)

That's cool. Just didn't know if being sarcastic.

End Currie is the guy who brought the Carolina reaper to us. He owns Puckerbutt peppers co in South Carolina. Current guiness world record holder of the hottest pepper.

Of course the hottest is always up for debate. Many will say others are hotter but that's a rabbit hole we will save for a later date :)

You still don't.  There seems to be something very weird about him and media / press interaction.  Maybe it is just compounded misquotes but it seems like anything published about Pucketbutt, Curry, or the Reaper will contradict something else published about one of the three.  Its not just the press.  It seems to be most media.

Funniest example: Guinness says the Carolina Reaper is a cross between a hab and a Naga Viper.  However, from what I can tell the Naga Viper did not exist when the Carolina Reaper was first being bred.  My thinking there being Mr. Curry said the word 'naga' and Guinness just sort of filled in the blanks wrong.

But all the misinformation and changing history is unfrigging real.

Yeah there is a lot of....inconsistencies with everything surrounding him.

I still enjoy the read though. I think it's amusing to read stuff like he eats 8-10 supers a day. Its funny because there was a time where I thought people like that just didnt perceive and receive heat the same as me, a rookie. Then to read that it still effects him and that he sucks it up, it's like- "Wow, he is a normal person"

“There’s a numbing effect if you rub the things on your genitals” Wow! Am I the only one that caught this? How many men are about to be stripped of all their masculinity as the sit in the emergency room only to have some nurse ask them “why are you here today?” “Uh, I was rubbing hot peppers on my pecker”. Nurse “why would you do such a thing?”  Man “Uh, I read it in a magazine”

I saw that too. I thought everyone would read that for what it is, like we do.

Shoot I got paper lantern hab residue on my face and got lit up for a little bit today.

But, alas, you are right I see many idiot trips to the ER following this read!
