Looking good BC. Cut the leaves off, chop them up into smaller pieces and top dress your container plants with them and cover with compost. ;)

The comfrey was only growing about 16" tall at most so I am digging them up, making a deeper hole for them and amending the soil in the hole with 5 gallons of Diestel turkey compost, and adding a cup of Tomato Tone and alfalfa meal and a 1/2 cup of kelp meal. I am hoping they grow much larger...

Changed my mind, I am having something much stronger. ;)  

Going to have one of these later.

Mulch everything with 2-3" of straw to conserve moisture.

It's Father's Day so I treated myself to an $8 bottle of beer from San Diego's Ballast Point Brewing. Good beer!  

Even more ewc top dressed would be good. You could mix some of that fertilizer in with the ewc or compost and top dress it.

Can you just dump it out flat on a hard surface and get the bugs to fly away?

I used to make ACT but I don't believe it's of much use once you have your soil dialed in.

Molasses contains some nutrients is why people use it I believe.

That's one reason I use 5/16" red lava rock. The only downside is the weight. ;)

Is that in soil?

A Monrovia container I see. They grow some of the best plants that money can buy. They call themselves, "Horticultural craftsmen" and I agree as they grow some incredible stuff. 

Rain would soak into all that decaying wood and act like a reservoir for the plants.
