    Cappy's 2015 Chocolate BS

You got me thinking also as that is just I have always done when in the seed tray 24/7.  There was some research done where it was shown to help seedlings when lights were on 24/7 for the first 5 weeks or so.  I am sure 18/6 is enough but with lights always on there is less of a temperature...

Pulpiteer 2015 - New Year, New Hopes

Very much enjoyed reading through your prep work on the grow station and the layered no till soil technique.  Only suggestion I can give is prop the smaller plants up and get the closer to the light since you have the BOC overwinter using the same light.  I can wait till you have plants filling...

fermenting Can I mash peppers already canned?

I agree with SmokenFire that the vinegar has already killed any natural LAB and don't know if even a starter will work? I would just keep your peppers in the pickle juice and wait till you acquire either frozen or fresh peppers to start a ferment with.  I am already on my last jar of pickled...

Hey Denniz,  Sorry to hear about your microscopic bug problem you have had the last couple years and hope you can arrest that this season.  My first thought from looking at all your plants inside now may be that they are over fertilized.  The plants are a very dark green with lot of soft green...

    seeds Seedlings stopped growing..

You might want to check the pH of the water run-off from you soil and see if that is in the range for the plants to uptake nutrients.  I've seen it many times before the pH of your mix gets out of wack and the plants stop growing.  The older plants which received nutes probably had a pH buffer...

    Cappy's 2015 Chocolate BS

Hey Dave, any soil-less mix like pro-mix or the Fafard's like I'm using is Hydroponics.  There are no fertilizers added in the mix so I will have to feed hydro nutes until they go outside and get compost and other goodies gets mixed in.  Hydroponic plants won't grow unless you hit the correct...
