I've a abundance of squirrels in my backyard.
I do have luck with the Critter Ritter stuff. I use it around my plants in buckets by the house (not cheap $17) but the massive down-pours we've had wash it away but when fresh it has worked for me. Had a damn hole deep enough I thought...
Many people here dehydrate their peppers for future use.....and many of those people smoke their peppers prior to drying them. I do both now myself and they last me through next harvest.
I still have about 12 sealed jars of Scotch Bonnets and Jamaican Hot Chocolates stored up. The heat and...
If you can get some deeper pots you'd be better off. My 1st few years of growing have been pots only and the majority of what you have will require something deeper 4-5 gal size. Most I think will need at least 18"-24" spacing (or potted by themselves) with the exception of the Thai Hot's but...
Should mention that with higher temps you run the risk of discoloring your peppers in case you like to keep the rich looking natural colors after complete drying. For me I like 120F-150F max. or 48C-65C max. I mainly use applewood for smoking but expanding to others this year. On the average I...
In the past I have used a a mint leave/water solution to aleviate the "white powder" fugus. Do a web search for the proper instructions. It worked great for me and it's a natural remedy.

I vaguely recall using about 20+ leaves crushing them and adding 1 cup or so of hot water...
I'm a about a 30 mile drive from them, well worth it I think. Spotted some horseradish while I was there too, I'll be back this weekend if not working OT.
I should mention that Ron Wilson said that if they don't have it this year let them know what your needs are and they'll have it next time...
Personally I had a 3-way draw going but ultimately it was about the ingredients and total presentation. We don't have dishes like this in my area (or even close) and I think I'm missing out on something great.
Well done Booma !

I recently stop by a nursery/garden center in N.E. Cincinnati area called Natorp's they've been around close to 100 years in our area but I never thought to check them out for our pepper plants and much to my delight they have quite a good selection (as of Sun. 5/5/13) Most were a good 8" or...
I'll assume you mean later in the year but I'll make a note of it.
Thanks.
