Self-irrigating? Never heard of it. I'm growing in 5 gallon buckets with drip irrigation. Next year I'll install a timer and fertigation, but I'm not sure about "self-irrigation."

Sure they need sun. But, since I have been growing peppers, especially supers, they can take anywhere from 3-5 weeks to ripen AFTER they become full-size.

They may BE green, but both are SUPPOSED to be red after they ripen.

I used to use one of those sprayers that you hold in one hand, has the tune that's attached to a sprayer thingie. It worked great but got annoying. It was like $10 on sale at Tractor Supply. Might get one like ya'll have.

I'm kinda lucky though. My wife works for a place that sells baggies and desicants. So I get them CRAZY cheap. I thought about buying a bead storage container from Michaels or something, but why fix what aint broke, you know?

The main thing is AFTER your seeds are sufficiently dry to keep them at a constant temp. If the temps fluctuate too much, you will get condensation inside the container they are in. That's why a lot of people put them in the fridge. I just keep mine in a plastic shelving unit with desicant packs...

I use an old coffee maker. I dont plug it in, obviously. I just use it for the filtering capability. I've never had a problem with that fluid clogging up my spray tip. It will start slow and slow down. I will just pour a little in at a time and leave it.

Where in Georgia are you? if you're in North Ga., I would say you could just come by here and get some peppers/seeds.
