    Hey guys

Like everyone else, I use a variation of dish soap in water. A few drops of dish soap, a tablespoon of cooking oil, water and shake well in a spray bottle. One thing to note is that is far and away better to spray at dusk, so the plants don`t get any sun or heat. It stops any issues with the new...

I tend to like most Green Flash offerings, but I agree with Grant about the Mosaic Session IPA. Soul Style IPA is my everyday go-to beer at the moment. The Hop Oddyssey beers are also good and really give you an idea of the flavours some of the different hops give to beers.

    Opiates + HP56 Death Strain = ?

LD50 is a measure of the dose that would kill 50% of the animals dosed.   It`s somewhere between 97 and 160 mg/kg of body weight for capsaicin in Rats and Mice. Now you just have to figure out how to alter SHU to mg, LMAO. Bottom line is that you`d need to eat literally hundreds of superhots in...

    Opiates + HP56 Death Strain = ?

I`ve had plenty of opiates during and after surgery. I hate them and avoid them like the plague.   As endorphins act on opiate receptors in the brain, it would depend on how much opiate you took. The receptors would probably be more or less occupied if you took a standard dose, so the endorphins...

What do you look for in Yogurt to take away the burn of a pepper?

Probably it is. I can`t honestly remember, Ben, but it`s happened perhaps 5-8 times with different superhots.

What do you look for in Yogurt to take away the burn of a pepper?

Arm numbness up to the elbow, check, legs below the knee, check, ears, nose and lips, check, ringing in the ears like white noise, check. LMAO. Extreme cramps far too often, but only puked twice. I often wish it were a lot more than twice,    Remind me again why we do this?????????

What do you look for in Yogurt to take away the burn of a pepper?

2 ways to get rid of capsaicin - get it to partition into something it`s very soluble in and knock it off the receptor. That`s it.    As someone above mentioned, capsaicin is an oil and therefore fat soluble. It`s also alcohol soluble, as well as other organic solvents you do NOT want to try...

Here`s one that worked far better than I thought it would. I`m not a huge fan of brown ales, but I guess the "imperial" style gives it some oomph. The base brown ale had deep, rich brown sugar, toffee and slight chocolate notes in addition to a big bruising malt backbone, plus it was more hoppy...

review Pex Peppers: Bee-Bomb, Hornet Bomb, and "To the Moon" sauce review(s)

I honestly believe that PexPeppers produces some of the very best culinary sauces available, i.e. they are great food items, not some one dimensional superhot exact-containing sauce that tastes like crap. Garrett is a great guy and he knows flavours and how to combine them.

OH, I like Dorado well enough. There are better IIPAs around here, but it`s fine and dandy. I just couldn't get my head around the synthetic watermelon flavour.

Went to Ballast Point`s big brewery and restaurant last Saturday. I was very impressed with the whole thing, from the great vibe to the great, unpretentious food  to the crazy beer list. Enjoy  :P   Particular favourites were Grunion with fresno chillis, Ginger Big Eye and Mole Victory at Sea. I...

    HP56 Death Strain.

As a cancer researcher in academia for over 20 years, i.e. I don`t have a big pharma axe to grind, there were a flurry of scientific papers about capsaicin and cancer up until around 2008 or so, as exemplified below.    The gist of these was basically to say that in lab-grown immortal cancer...

Cumari do Para Bonda ma Jacques Fidalgo roxa (or Cheiro or CGN 21500) CGN 23257 MoA Scotch Bonnet   Ask me again tomorrow and the list will be different  :P   The Albanian Red Hot is a lovely pepper and one of the few annuums I really like, but in all honesty very little difference from Vezena...

New one for me and I have to say, I really like it! There are a number of breweries around here doing wonderful Imperial Reds, some of which are almost double IPAs x Red Ales in the way they work. This one is grounded in single IPA x Red ale with tons of dry hopping. It really is well worth...

favorite Wild Varieties-What is your favorite

It grew out true last year (not mine, unfortunately), so we will see what the seed from last year gives this year. 2nd year in 2016, from very old seeds last year.    I`ve grown 7 or 8 different ones labelled as "cardenasii" and they`ve all been hybrids, including CGN 20497. Last time i looked...

chinense Jigsaw (trinidad moruga scorpion X ? )

"Fatalii Gourmet" is the trade name Jukka uses and his web site is Fatalii.net. It indicates it comes from him, nothing more.   I`ve heard 2 things about the FG Jigsaw. It`s TSMB x some sort of Naga, or it`s pure Naga and possibly the one recently found by another person in the Indian Embassy in...
