From my understanding, it is a mutation. Seeds from a douglah were planted and it produced red pods.

I tried to use peat pots last year, but it was too hard to keep the plants happy in them. They drew the moisture out of the soil and killed a few of my plants. However, the best way to water them i found was to set the pot in some water until it absorbed enough.

Thanks guys. That little yellow pepper tastes like a bell pepper, but has the after taste of a yellow 7.

Got a late start this year, but its my first year really growing peppers. Starting at 12 and going clockwise we have yellow Trinidad perfume, bolivian rainbow, purira, Hawaiian sweet hot, Sofia sweet, dwarf salsa, purple serrano, and santaka.
