I have a lot of data on RH% and chiles and, from my records, RH% from 20% to 80% has no effect on chile growth.   I grow in hydro in a controlled environment.

If you're looking for cheap, growing chiles is the wrong hobby.    :surprised:

The largest chile I have seen was a tepin that grew probably 15' tall under a nurse tree.

I forgot to mention that guajillo are only a little picante and also a little sweet. When I buy some, I find a nice one and eat it like candy.

I doubt very much the lamp caused the problem with the chile.
