heat What pepper is the hottest....to YOU??

Not Black Naga has been the hottest so far for me.  Blew away the reapers, bhuts, and various scorpions I have had.  Plugged up my ears within seconds and proceeded to punish me for some time.

heat Reducing the heat level of a sauce without changing it's flavor profile

Similar to what Aaron said find one of the habanero types that don't have as much heat, such as the Suave pepper.  Same flavor profile but very mild.

My first stab at a proper sauce, Mango Pineapple Fatalii!

Looks very good!  You can change the proportions however you want if you aren't "bottling" and and are instead storing it in the fridge.  If you are planning on bottling it to share or just to keep longer you need to maintain a safe ph which requires either following a proven recipe or using a...

If I make microwave popcorn my go to is PopSecret Homestyle. Not too buttery or salty. I still prefer to take the extra time to use the stir crazy though.

How do you support your tomato plants?

I use two different systems in my two garden spaces.  In my main garden I use 5 ft concrete reinforcing wire cages.  I use a florida weave in the public garden.  The plants definitely produce more and get larger using the CRW cages, but part of that is probably the better soil and growing...

    pests Pepper Pest?

Haven't seen any aphids.  Have had peppers inside all winter without any sign so I doubt they could have found their way in.  But I will double check.

    pests Pepper Pest?

This might be my only option.     I don't think those are possible up here in the frozen north.  Plus the bugs are big enough I would be able to see them.     Possible, but I am very careful with my watering.  I only water them when they start to droop and are bone dry.

    pests Pepper Pest?

Yeah.  I can't really see anything, and the plant seems healthy enough, but I don't want it spreading to my other plants if it is an issue.

    pests Pepper Pest?

I noticed some funny things on one of my larger goat peppers.  I stared and stared to see if I could see anything move at all, but nothing moved that I could see.  Any ideas?

Poypoy's 2014 Grow Log - Flowers and Round 2 Sown

Sowed my last round of peppers last night.  Mostly annuums but also some of the chinense I just acquired from the conservatory.  Resowed 2 baccatums that I keep managing to kill, 3rd times the charm.    Bull's Heart Cherry Bomb Fresno Goats Weed Golden Marconi Jalapeno Piquin Purple Jalapeno...

    cooking Base Cooked Salsa Recipe

Romas are nice for making sauces and salsas, but in my opinion you can't get much more bland than a standard roma tomato.  Switch those up for some OP/heirloom tomatoes with flavor and you won't believe the taste difference in your salsa.    That looks like a good base for a salsa, though I...

    Sriracha Sauce

I at least double this, and it is even better if you ferment the peppers before you make the sauce.   Sriracha 1/2 pound red ripe chilis, chopped in a food processor or food chopper.  Seeds removed, if desired. 4 garlic cloves, minced 1 teaspoon salt 1 cup distilled white vinegar 2 tablespoons...

Hidden Gems - Kaa Sangwa Kinnit and Kpakpo Shito

Adding the only picture I have.  Accidentally left my phone at home so I was unable to get pictures of the plants.       Editing to add I saw the review from Nigel for a couple of these peppers.  Looks like Joe Delaney lives in this area too and has posted about several of these peppers...
