Had the pleasure of a 4 foot king snake roaming the yard last year. Hope (she) had babies. Had a few decent size garters. Between the king, the garters, a pair of hawks and me.... we kept the rodents at bay (barely). There is a card game analogy there somewhere. Only snake thus far this year...

Shane... playing catch up with all of the Grow Logs.... Everything looks fantastic... I put a pound of those red wrigglers in my beds and in the compost pile this year. They do seem to be prolific breeders. Hope to catch up with you soon. Regards, Chris

Ridiculous heat here.... but the gardens thrive none the less. Just waiting for the storms to follow... i fear they are not far behind and they are likely to be fierce... Starting to move some peppers into the kitchen. Going to process some Datils this week, flakes, powders, hot sauce, etc...
