This has inspired me.... I thought the color was off on my first attempt at smoking peppers. But I used a friends smoker and it had no way of controlling the heat well other than opening it up and letting the heat out. Ended up tasting great but the light peppers ended up rather brown the red...
Yup looks just like my chocolate Fatalii plant. Taste apparently varies wildly on them mine were not so hot, maybe cayenne level, and only lightly Fatalii flavored.
I believe the only way to do it on mobile is "[S] words [\S]".
Only worked cause I used the wrong / I think. Otherwise it would have been done right and html would have taken over.
Train is on the move again. Headed to the Rockies now.
Tracking number is 9114901189866573478568 VIA USPS.
And I tried explaining that to the better half and she wasn't having it Coheed. I mean damn near verbatim lol. She just wants enough room on the patio to stretch out in the sun and last...
The train has made it's way to me. It's gonna take at least a day to sort through this.
On a side note I doubt very highly that my garden is going to shrink this year like it was supposed to. :P
Thanks everyone! I'll do my best to try to make this as quick as possible but there are sooooooo...
Those are some serious numbers for this thread. Just makes me more anxious to see the box once it gets here.
Yeah the weather here has been the worst it's been since the 70's. We got very close to several all time records including the great lakes practically freezing over, Hit 90 some...
Oh man I'm excited it's getting so close to me.... Probably won't be able to get any full plants outdoors from these this year but I'll see how well I can get a couple of them to do indoors over this winter. Stupid WI and still not having decent growing weather.
That guy has more ca-hones than me... I would have been scared of one drop of that stuff straight. 4-5 drops of the regular PE is more than enough for me straight.
Gratz on the results and bravo to Claude I doubt I would have made it to the plateau before chugging a container of sour cream XD
Datil's don't do well in the southern half of FL. I lived in Tampa for many years and couldn't get a good datil plant to save my life.
Bhut's do extreamly well as do anything from the caribbean.
My grow list from Tampa consisted of Trinidad Scorpions, Bhut Jolokia's, Naga Morich, a couple...
Try it with heavy jams or preserves. I like a good marmalade, apricot preserve, persimmon preserve, or heavy berries like raspberries or currant. Something with enough flavor and sugar to accent the burn.
I highly doubt it's unconventional but I use either hot sauce or powder in my pasta when I eat out and toss in some diced fresh pods at home.
But the strangest thing (to my friends) that I put spicy things on is pb&j sandwiches.
I'm not a fan of Sriracha so I did not buy any. It has a strange aftertaste to me.
My commercially available sauces of choice are Melinda's or Franks if I want that vinegary taste.
If anyone would like me pick some up and ship it to them I'm sure I could arrange that but I'm taking a pass...
Yeah my local post is the same way... Last year they opened up like 3 boxes I was sending live plants out in, because apparently a lot of people walk in with boxes of live pot plants and try to ship them or something.
And every time I went in with boxes they joked around asking if my plants...
So I was wandering around the store today and found this.
Thoughts and opinions?

Seeing as it won't let me directly link the pics.
Nah OCD isn't such a terrible thing if you think about it. How else can one expect to get exacting results from inexact things like nature :P
Back on subject those look like wonderful plants. Keep up the hard work and get those things stabilized.
Got the seeds this weekend gonna drop them in the dirt after they sit in their growth serum.
I have a couple PDN that came to me from Indonesia that I'll be back crossing to so we should have some interesting lineages going on in a couple years.
Thanks for the other crosses as well they all...
Yeah those look like the ones I got from AjiJoe. Mine tasted kinda bitter and maybe in the Jalapeno or Serrano heat range.
Was a fun pepper to grow out as an ornamental but it didn't make the cut this year... Needed the space for more flavorful and hotter varieties.
If it has a really low heat and sweet flavor like you said it could also be an Alma paprika. I grew those last year and the first set I got were all slightly larger than a golf ball and the second harvest were slightly larger maybe 1.5-2x the size of a golf ball and they grew upright as well...
