so i got a package of Sabrett`s with natural casings and they were ok but did`nt seem as good as i remembered. then i got a package of Stahl-Meyer all beef dogs and they are really good. i don`t remember seeing this brand before. i did one under the broiler in the toaster oven till it had some...

i tried this but didn`t have xanthan gum on hand. did a search and saw that cornstarch can be used to thicken sauces also but it takes more to thicken than xanthan gum. it tastes great but is still too thin for my liking and there is some separation when it sits. i know the xanthan gum will help...
chicken stew made with chicken thighs, onion, potatoes, carrots and peas. basically chicken pot pie without the crust. homemade hot sauce that i made using powder i made from last years grow of serrano, cayenne and thai added to my plate. :cheers:
my plants are in 5 gal buckets and receive full sun from sun up till around 5 PM when they get shade from some hedges. yes they do wilt on very hot days but i`ve never lost a plant because of it. a couple of years ago during a heatwave i moved them underneath a tree but moving so many buckets...
i think the 1/3 of total volume of compost may be a little to much. its bad for drainage which is essential in container growing. i have heard here that something like 5 parts potting mix, 2 parts perlite and 1 part compost. i`ve also heard it stated as compost should be around 15% of total...
i never took any prep pics but i used the same ingredients as the day before with the flour tortilla swapped out for hard shells. the ground beef was spicy plus i had splashed them with jalapeno sauce which is buried under the toppings. its pretty hot for jalapeno. :onfire:
