    The molasses needs to be un sulfered as sulfer kills bacteria as well. You still need a cover IMO. Even if it's in the shade.

    My first ever compost tea!

    First of all congratulations on your first brew. Second, the tea bag should be directly over the air stone. You have to cover the top of the bucket because UV light kills bacteria.
