    Tonly's 2011 grow log

Thanks Routebound. I mostly use Gen Hydro 3 part and sometimes CalMag. Tried FoxFarm Grow big. Plants liked it but the GH is much cleaner to use in a water re-circulating system.

I didn't know that (or anything else really) about the pineapple. At what stage are they not toxic?

    Tonly's 2011 grow log

The DWC hydro plants in the greenhouse have outgrown the system they are in. They have basically been growing in plain water as they go through about 10 gallons a day and it would just cost too much to keep feeding them. The temps in the greenhouse have been so hot they really aren't that...

    BRING IT ON!!!

Had a casualty today. One plant (weakest one) had the terminal buds dying and slight all over yellowing of the leaves. All of the plants are growing in the same re-circulating nute solution so hope it doesn't spread. Still no color but the rest of the plants are just packed with pods...

If buckets are hard to find in your area, I think you could easily adapt this type system to whatever containers you can find. I have seen some nice setups made from cat litter buckets.

    BRING IT ON!!!

Laz, these little plants are going to be just loaded with pods in spite of 109F temps. This isn't a contest plant but is from the same seed. The plants I grew last year didn't get this loaded up with pods.

You can put the plants in the buckets anytime. Even start seeds right in the bucket. The bubbles breaking on the surface will keep the growing medium moist but, I do water from the top (with the same solution as in the bucket) once or twice a day for the first week or so.

How I used AJ's Trinidad Scorpions

That looks great! Does that amount of Scorpions make it too hot for the general public?

Nothin' up my sleeve. :) Family is out of town this week and they took the camera with them. I could tell you I've got some blossoms lookin' like they'll open any minute but I know with out photographic evidence it didn't happen.

seeds Hydrofarm heating mat on germination station

You may be able to find the right temp by placing it on different surfaces but a thermostat (I use a HydroFarm unit) is easy and accurate.
