Worm castings don't have very much NPK for the most part. It would depend a little on what they were fed I suppose. Most commercial worm castings are in the 0.1-0-0 range for NPK.

Ahh to soak or not to soak? Doesn't really matter. Done each and the difference was minimal. As for burying a small piece of paper towel along with the root, done that too and didn't notice any good/bad things being caused by it.
