Actually the red savinas' heat levels are over-rated and are usually no hotter than orange habs, except of course for the one and only test that got them the Guinness record in the past
What new one?
Neil likes to add the u but he actually knows its not correct. He says its the Aussie spelling like colour vs. color
Moruga scorpion, or Morouga scorpion, they are the same pepper named after the Moruga region of Trinidad where they grow. People just realised they were spelling...
I've never heard Marouga before. People were mistakenly calling it Trinidad scorpion Morouga for a while but I believe the region in Trinidad is actually Moruga. This pepper has only been in the online pepper community for a few years but as far as I know its quite stable.
The confusion is...
If it was an accidental cross then f1 pods would most likely be dominant red color. Maybe just a simple error occured, but I don't know of any yellow pods hotter than red scorpions.
Vendors sometimes mislead people by calling their stable plants f1 hybrids so people are forced to buy seeds :(
I like to grow my crosses out for at least 9 generations before I consider them stable but I'm still learning a lot
I'm totally giving up growing jalapenos next year and am going to grow tonnes of fresnos instead. To me they taste fruitier and are far more productive, although they are much thinner fleshed

I agree with you for the most part Joe, but you're the one that originally turned this all into a circus act
Ed has to be commended for his patience and I hope the best for him
