Rocket yeah we're slowly gathering to try to change it. I've been out of commission for about a year due to an illness. Now that I'm back I'm going to try to burn it to the ground.

Tomato Tone and Kelp - I Feel Like a Mad Scientist

I just placed an order for Tomato Tone and Dr. Earth Kelp. The two together seem pretty well rounded and, as stated in another tread, I can't use the stinky stuff I really want to use.  I also grow other things such as broccoli, perlila, beans, cabbage (soon to be harvested) etc etc. I think...

sun Issue moving plants into sunlight in Florida.

I'm sure you can start moving them outside again. If they're growing then I would guess that the plant is fine. I'm not sure about peppers but on other plants when the stalk is too long you can plant a bit of the stalk underground. Do a search and see if you can before you try... What I'm saying...

fertilizer Crazy Psychotic Homeowners Association or What Fertilizer to use?

I hate my HOA with the passion of 10 burning suns. I didn't pay their dumbass fine and then the filed to foreclose on my house for not paying the fine. Yes FORECLOSE. So, I had to get a lawyer blah blah blah long story short I have no desire to do that again. EVER   We had a shepherds hook up in...

fertilizer Crazy Psychotic Homeowners Association or What Fertilizer to use?

My HOA is literally batshit crazy. I know from planting some trees that I can't use fish emulsion (I was fined by thte HOA for the smell - yeah seriously).  Do you guys have any suggestions for something that I can fertilize my peppers with that    1) Is organic  2) Does not stink (I'll get...

sun Issue moving plants into sunlight in Florida.

I start my seeds outside in Florida. My plants will droop during the day because of the heat but they come back in the evening. Your plants kinda look like they're searching for light? I've never had them bend permanently and grow in any type of odd way. Also, I had a good suggestion from...

shopping Where to Buy Cost Effective Perlite and Vermiculite Central Florida

KingLeer - That seems like...a lot of perlite. Like a lot. lol Am I correct? Isn't Perlite around 2lbs per cubic foot?    Wal-mart only carries MG Perlite, which I don't have a problem with, but it's 4 dollars for 8qarts. Which in the long run is very epensive. I was thinking of going to home...

shopping Where to Buy Cost Effective Perlite and Vermiculite Central Florida

HI everyone! I was wondering if there was a place to get cheap(er) perlite or vermiculite around the Central Florida (Orlando) area? I would even do mail order as long as the shipping wasn't outrageous. I'm looking myself but everything seems to be around the same price. I was just wondering if...

Florida is trying to kill my plants (yes a little dramatic)

Ok, I'm sorry guys let me be more specific. I sow into pots or into raised beds. You can't put anything in the ground in Orlando. As others have said I can't start cups outside. I do have large pots that I start in and they do well.    I've made some grow bags and will transplant them once they...

Florida is trying to kill my plants (yes a little dramatic)

The issue I have is that I can't start them in the house because it's too cold in here. I know from trying to start Habs last year. They just wont grow. Yes it is that cold in here I hate the heat lol. I am going to put together a grow system but since I live in Sunny Hot Humid Florida. I...

    Damnit so very much...

This happens in Florida all the time. One of the easiest things to do is put bubble wrap over them. You can use a tomato cage wrap it, make sure it goes all the way to the ground and make sure it's completely closed.   You can use floating covers on the plants (if you have any) you can also use...

Florida is trying to kill my plants (yes a little dramatic)

Oh, I don't plant in the ground. That's why I'm mixing soil. I have raised beds and pots. Sorry I wasn't clear. The year I tried to put a garden in the ground everything died. EVERYTHING.    Sorry to hear about the heat Smokin'. I haven't had blossom drop here in the heat (knock on wood).
