12x20-24, length hasn't been fully determined yet. I haven't seen any logic that states why you should go big or go home, anything you can fit in your yard is supported here :)I'll get atleast 240 square feet of growspace. That's fine for my first hoop :) I can't fit a 20' wide house on my lot...
After much time at the drawing board, I decided I was too cheap to break the mold and have decided for a Top Rail Hoophouse design. Now to order my bender :)
I look forward to when I harvest my own seeds and can give a scoop of seeds instead of counting em :/
And aye, I kept thinking about the sharpie, but I want to leave the bag reusable (more easily/nicer than crossing out old writing) for others :)
I used to like small coffee filters, you can put each variety in their own filter and write the name on it.
Then I put in a clear shoebox and put it outside when it was warmer :)
That's not an uncommon upset/misconception. I don't know why they'd be stubborn about it. Some people are convinced they'll always know better I suppose.
That's funny. The internet tells a similar tale, some love their cherokee purps and some hate them. Mine were delicious, very fruity. But the plant started getting grey and withery in the lower limbs, dunno what that's about
Yeah, I would encourage you to dig around the soil like Mr Hill said.
You can overwinter in ground with hoop covers or whatever you can do to keep em warm. If you do it right you can keep producing.
I would dig first and add a fertilizer. I don't know about dirt plants really, but I think...
You answered yourself, Dormant plants are inactive. The producers are active.
Dormant plants get less light, nutrients, and water.
Indoor plants think it's spring.
So many nice people here! My trade thread has been a rousing success and I have a lot of seeds coming :) I'll add lists when I get em.
I guess this Glog is now in fall intercession. I don't expect my plants outside to do much until I get poly over them so they stay warmer.
Hoophouse/greenhouse...
To get on early or not? Decisions :p
Ah well, I'd like to get in on it, I'll make sure to reserve some cash on hand for the Post costs.
Trading a lot, so I'll have some great varieties to add.
Thank you Scorched.
Were they like that when it was just a bud? I have some peppers and tomatoes make buds that look like they're gonna fall off, get yellow, and then produce anyway. Pics please :p
