Fabric pots are said to be root permeable when Put in soil. You lose the pot but you don't disturb roots. I make pots out of geotextile 6oz fabric, pretty cheap for the size when you buy a big roll

I recommend peach or yellow/orange hot varieties for great tasting sauces and powders, whether you go straight to peach bhut or pick fataliis and bahamian goats you can't go wrong trying non red peppers :)

I wouldn't bother with distance, wind and chance insect pollinators abound. Just bag or glue.. or isolation cages/houses.
