    Urfa biber

Did a search but didn't see anything about this pepper. Anyone growing it? I got it as a freebie with a recent order. I read about it and it seems like an interesting pepper. Any info on growth habit, productivity, etc? Thanks

End of summer in France - Piment d'Espelette time!

I grew these peppers this year. Nice strong plant, turned out a good amount of pods. Saved some seeds and will definitely be growing again next year.

Storing whole pod in the fridge?

Is your intention to save seeds? Are the pods fully ripe?

HOT summer, lots of rain :(

The recent heatwave kickstarted my plants again. They're really putting out pods now, which are ripening more quickly. Temps are dropping again and there's a low possibility of thunderstorms every day for the next several days, but I think these plants are gonna pump out the pods. A few got...

    overwintering Overwinter a stunted plant?

I have a bunch of super-hots that started sluggishly, but are now starting to grow; I'm not sure why they were stunted, because I gave them all the same potted mixture as the others. At the moment, they're only a foot tall or more. However, not much in the way of pods. Is it a waste of...

Modern day computer/smartphone usage is literally destroying our eyesight.

I work on a computer all day, sometimes my eyes get tired. But my eyesight is perfect, no reading glass, and I'm in my 40s. Outside work, I prefer to read a physical book, not an e-book. And spend as little time as possible on my phone/computer; I've only had a smart phone for maybe less than 2...

    outdoors a fishing thread

My un-fishing comment. Went to Cape May and got skunked. Two small sand sharks. But everyone else around was getting mostly skunked, too. Just surf-fishing that is. No one that I saw caught anything worth keeping from shore.

I'm not exactly sure why taco breaks are not more prevalent. Fair play to you.

    Ginger

My tallest ones are about 3 feet now I think. Do they flower before harvest, or is that only in year-round growing zones? I plan to harvest some time before first frost, which by me is set at about Nov 1.

    Aleppo pepper splitting

This is my first year growing Aleppo. I've been away for a couple weeks during which we've had drenching rain, hell heat, drenching rain again. Aleppo originated in a hot, dry climate, so I'm guessing that's why mine have split - literally look like someone opened a zipper down the side split...
