Ok, I am going to try to limit my addiction forcefully, but spreading it around some :)   I have collected a variety of seeds over the last couple years, and don't really have the time or energy to keep up with starting many from seed anymore.  Most of the seeds came from open-pollinated plants...

Any or with pepper plants?   This link has been brought up in a few conversations on the forums for combining the two:   http://www.fatalii.net/Bonsai_Chiles_Bonchi   I currently lack the time and especially the patience for it, but one day maybe :)

The bit about the gasses does appear to work (at least it has worked for me very well).   If you have ripe tomatoes, bananas etc and put the unripe items (tomatoes, peppers) with them, the unripe does appear to ripen nicely.

I had grabbed a bunch of pods off my plants before I had to leave Florida a while back, and I had a lot of varieties of peppers going.  They were open-pollinated and of various heat levels.  I've also got seeds from a number of pods that I had bought or had been given.   I know most folks look...

You say you have a few years before you would be setting up stand...  grow a few different each year and make notes on which had the qualities you would want (for you personally, and to sell).  Chances are there may be a difference between the two, and you may have to lean one way or the other...
