Hey mate,
great grow log you have going here. That hot fish is going to produce a tonne of pods!!! Well done! I am 30 mins northwest of Melbourne and I have started my germination for this season. I germinate on a home brew (beer) heated mat, it stays around 24-26 degrees which works great...
No problems :) I am not familiar with miracle grow, sorry. But I dont think it would have perlite in it. It will probably have some slow release fertilisers, but I would put some perlite for drainage. Chillies love good drainage :)
Thanks Stefan :) The Yellow 7 is easily my favourite plant, was...
Thanks very much irish :)
Thanks mate, you are welcome. I hope the pods start coming in for you. I had a douglah that busted out tonnes of flowers, but couldnt get one pod to set for the season. I am overwintering it at the moment. Good luck! Cheers
Hi SP,
No problems :) thankyou for the kind words.
Thanks very much for the info on pine needles. I think I will use them and go slug hunting at night. Plus I might wait till the plants are a decent size before planting out this time round.
Cheers :)

Thanks westin :) This site is great for info, I have used plenty of suggestions provided by others here. My season is just about over, winter in 6 days and its cold wet and miserable outside now.
Ill post a few more now :)
No problems mate. I used debco potmate. ;)
Heres a few more for ya ;)...
Happy to help. I think it would be great if someone with a very successful season could post something similar to this with all their tips and lessons learned. It makes it easier for us guys :) good luck with your season!
They are definitely some of the best I have seen. Whatever you are doing, You are doing it right! ;)
I am a noob too, learnt heaps from others. I'm going to take a closet look at your method now. :) keep the photos and info coming!
Thanks very much for the kind words bamaboy! :) I havent tried red 7's, I may have to get some seeds before it gets to late. Love the heat! :) Good luck with your grow.
Cheers
Nice :) I might have to pick up some BS's from pepperlover for this season. I love the bumpy appearance of them. Im not sure of the taste. The fatali is great. That was a blonde fatali, it starts out pale green (below) rather then dark green. Tastes the same but produced heaps of pods :)
blonde...
Thanks mate :) Definitely give them a go. Taste better then fatali in my opinion. However, they are quite a bit hotter, which is good for some ;) good luck with your grow :)
Heres a few more pics for ya :)
Blonde fatali (delicious)
scotch bonnets (love the colour)
loaded with yellow 7's...
oh and Matt, the Yellow 7's are great! They will be worth the wait! Heres a few more pics :)
3 gallons is around 11.5 litres I think. Dont stress too much, this size pot is still good. I got about 50 yellow 7's from my plant in a 10 litre container. Also 250 ajis from a 10 litre :)
No problems Matt, thanks for the reply. You will definitely have success cutting down plants as long as its not too late in the season. It was a winner for me. Winter is here next week and my fatali pictured is loaded with ripening pods. The butch t also has 20-30 pods and is doing well :)
I am...
