    PaulG 2016

Hey Paul. I've got my chiles in the greenhouse now and they are loving it during this cold wet spell we have been having. The plants have never looked better all year and the pods are ripening (and flowering) like crazy. The greenhouse is a true life saver. I'm trying to decide if the Padrones...

    event NWCF/Seattle Area Potluck 2016- happened! Sept 9, 10, 11.

It sure was wonderful getting together again with everybody. The conversations and time spent with everyone was every bit as good as the food and spices. I encourage anyone to come to this event next year. Plan ahead and use a few vacation days if you have to. You will not regret it...unless you...

    food New Mexican Food

Wow Dale! I can't believe what I have just read. This is the thread I only dreamed I could have produced, but was not willing to put in the time and effort. To me, it is the best one I have ever seen on this site. Though I have lived in the Seattle area for 22 years, my New Mexican chile...

Justin reviews my Chocolate Borg 9 Part 1

It was fun watching him eat that beast of a pepper. Great job growing it. It looked so much bigger in real life.

I do. I'll share that with Lindsey. I am going to make a Costco run tomorrow around noon. Let me know if you can think of any supplies we need or things you like from there.

    PaulG 2016

Hey Paul. I only grew a dozen chiles this year and 2 are Pimento de Padrones. They are my best growers and the pods look exactly like yours. I think I will let the rest turn completely red now. Just ate three of them as poppers with asadero cheese. One was fairly hot. See you tomorrow.

    event NWCF/Seattle Area Potluck 2016- happened! Sept 9, 10, 11.

I should be there all three days and can run errands or go get whatever is needed. Lindsey is finishing up a hike from Stevens Pass to Rainy Pass on Saturday or Sunday and lives in Sedro Wolley now. That was the section they could not do last year because of the fires, so I don't think so. I...

    event NWCF/Seattle Area Potluck 2016- happened! Sept 9, 10, 11.

Hey Ann, Sharon and my daughter Lindsey are the biggest fans of your Whirled Peas sauce. When I told Lindsey that the get-together is coming up and she begged me to get some from you if you still made it. If so, bring lots and I'll buy! Do you have any suggestions for things we need or supplies...

    food Fried zucchini patties

This looks like a great way to cook zucchini even after letting them get huge. I have some monsters to pick and will use this idea. Kind of like fried green tomatoes? Thanks.

Hey Gary. As usual, your plants and pics are a masterpiece. So gorgeous. The best way for me to get back in touch with the THP folks is to start with your grow log.

Using beer in a sauce recipe?

Great idea about smoking the NM chiles. I've been sun drying some and they are all red now. I was looking for ideas to make a sauce using the chiles PaulG gave me at the PNW Chilefest. The idea of mixing smoked NM chiles, PaulG's hotties, and quality dark beer sounds intriguing. Time to get to...

event NWCF- campout summary, post #83

Every state or region should have one of these :hell: Fests. Great community, great people. Start with just few chile heads if you have to and it will grow. It doesn't hurt to have Salsalady in the PNW running point either  ;)

Hey Ann. You think that raccoon family will remember us from last year? I can supply a two person or a 6 person tent to anyone who needs one. Let me know if you could use extra supplies such as ice chests, 2 burner Camp Chef cooker, firewood, a few more chairs, etc.
