Promix USM vs. PGX vs. FPX

I used the Ultimate Seeding Mix this year and got over 90% germination. Best ever for me. Looking at the BX though, they look the same and either would work just as well. Buying the BX in bulk would be a lot cheaper if you will use it to pot up into as well. 1 bale costs me about $40 and is...

Pepper ID - 7 Pot SR or Jonah

It actually looks like the SR with the tail never getting inverted inside the pod. I had a couple do that out of maybe 40 pods. The jonah I have looks more like a tear drop shape while the SR is more rounded like the brain strain and marouga blend. jacob

    fermenting Fermented Pepper Mash

In the long run, it would probably be better to stir it back into the dough as that is where all the bacteria is. As it sits it will seperate back out though. For me, it only takes till the morning and it is seperated again. jacob

    fermenting Fermented Pepper Mash

    1) I do not strain. Just dip a little out of the jar and put it in with the mash. I do not seperate it from the flour mixture either. It needs to be in there to get a good makeup of the beneficial bacteria in it. When it is ready it will be very dark in color. Mine is almost black. 2) It...

    fermenting Fermented Pepper Mash

You can add a little more distilled water to the mix and mix it up good. That will produce more hooch. jacob

    fermenting Fermented Pepper Mash

That looks to be the start of hooch. My hooch is pretty dark, but then again it is already several months old. It started out about the same color. I would wait a bit longer before using to get the microbe counts up. Maybe a week since you added yeast to boost it. jacob

Isn't 3 int's and a fumble considered good plays by the defense? It is a matter of perspective though. Like for Michigan against Indiana yesterday, it is easy for me to say that our horrible defense is the reason Indiana got so many yards and points, but at the same time, isn't it also because...

Nah, you can keep him. We already have a great head coach with an exceptional offensive mind. Now if we could just find someone who knows defense.......... Tate may end up transfering, hell his brothers did, but to this point he has been adamently saying he is staying. I think the out...

I believe our offense would still be efficient with forcier, but not near as dynamic. Forcier is a good QB, but not as much of a gamebreaker as Robinson is. With Robinson, ANY play could result in a TD, with Forcier it is more driving down the field bit by bit. Which almost killed us...

Well, when I turned on the bama/florida game, bama was already up 24-0. From what I saw though from that point on, it was an excellent bama defense to an ineffective florida offense. That has been florida's problem all year with the exception of the kentucky game. Florida just hasn't looked...

Oops, forgot about LSU and their Michigan Man coach. And come on man, Carolina hasn't been a real threat in my lifetime. Holtz had a couple championships as well, but look how that worked out. Maybe Spurrier can get them sorted out before they fire him too, but right now it is still the...

Hell, if OSU would pull their own weight, I would be bragging even more as the impressiveness of out excellence against the SEC would be more obvious. I don't know, I think I would rather play in the SEC given our record against it. Who wouldn't want to vandy, carolina, kentucky, miss...

Well AJ, those numbers are a bit misleading. Cant debate the NC as the Big 10 is at a disadvantage without the championship game and ending the season before thanksgiving. Thankfully that is changing. The other conference with NC that doesn't have a championship game is the PAC 10 and let's...

    fermenting Fermented Pepper Mash

I make my sourdough starter differently, but if that was what was in the video, I am sure it would work as well. I start with 1 cup water and 1 cup flour and mix. Let sit for 24 hours, then pour half out and add 1/2 cup water, 1/2 cup flour. Repeat everyday until the culture has a good start...

Well, all I can say is Michigan is something like 23-5-1 against the SEC all time. 7-3 in bowl games. AND the last one was against Florida and the "great" tebow. Another one against the gators a few years before that when grossman was there. So much for that theory.

 Where did that come from? HEHE j/k Thought that would get your attention. 6 td's eh, huh, I didn't even realize your offense scored 6 times this year. ;) Seriously though, I just can't decide who I am going for this weekend. Never been much of a Florida fan, but Saban has to be...

preservation How long do I leave my Habs in the dehydrator?

Hard to give an exact time because it will depend on the temp of the dehydrator, humidity, moisture content of the pods, etc. But, I dry mine at about 115F for at least 24 hours, check them, if not dry in another 12 hours or so I check again. jacob
