Watch out for darwincomedy on ebay buying butch-t seeds

I noticed a couple of things. He copped the pic from semillas. And it's hard to believe Neil would endorse this guy.

wanted ISO HOT Pepper varieties for college experiment

You might want to start off with pure seeds from a reliable source like thehippyseedco. Many of us don't isolate for seedstock in excess. Unless you do not want your results to be reproducible.

    vendor Hirts Gardens

I'm not so sure about his Scorpions. He recently decided to retitle his Scorpions as ButchT's even though he admitted on here that his source never labeled them as such. I think they were supposed to be New Mexico Scorpions or other. But I guess everyone knows it's best to buy the ButchT's...

    CMPMAN1974's 2011 Growing Log - Started 1/29/11

Looks good Chris. If peppers are from tropical climates, then they probably do like sandy soils.

    Trinidad Scorpion Butch T

He used that pic to sell Trinidad Scorpion seeds last year. He recently added the Butch T title, I guess, because of the record. All told, I don't know what he's selling.

    Brain Strain pain

There might be. I only know of Neil's Butch T. He's probably been the major supplier in recent years. I'm glad he's not flooding the market with the battery acid one.

    Brain Strain pain

Taste is subjective. But I didn't find the Butch T to be terrible at all. It actually surpised me with some sweetness. As far as heat goes, on certain days a good 7 Pod strain can beat Butch T and vice versa. It gets kind of hard to differentiate at these levels. They're all worthy.

    Dragon Fruit

Here's mine. Don't worry, your American Beauty will survive. Cuttings are tough to kill. Remember to keep it moist and it will grow fast. When yours gets bigger, maybe we can trade cuttings.

    Long time away...

In a protected setting, peppers can be perennial. Out in the environment with no winter kill, they just fall along the food chain. It's probably best to just restart from seeds. Welcome back.

Broke the tap root when repot Cocoa,, is that ok?

It's a longshot if the plant is already dropping leaves. You definitely shocked it. Treat it like a bare root plant. The roots are gonna be ineffective for a while. Mist the leaves. You need to create a humidity dome or place a plastic bag with a few tiny holes over the plant. Even though...

seeds Will this germinatino box be too hot?

During this time of year, I've never needed supplemental heat to germinate seeds. I usually use a warm room in the house like the garage. You could also leave them outside in a protected area with partial sun. The temps don't have to be constant when germinating in June. The florida heat is...

    My non chili plants

My plant is about 5 feet, recently potted up from 7 to a 15 gallon container. It's been fruiting and flowering the past couple weeks. When it was smaller, it would flower but not set fruit. But I was a noob at hand pollinating, so I could've been responsible. Sugar apples go dormant in the...

    My non chili plants

Sugar apples are easily grown from seed and do well in containers. If you can get your hands on some to grow, you'll have fruits in 2 years.

Durian addiction, so trying to grow one?

Thailand is one of the few countries that can grow and fruit durian successfully. So you have the right climate. They are not easy to grow in Florida since it's not tropical enough. A nursery grower here told me they are sensitive to pH. You might want to ask one of the growers in Thailand...

    freaky mango seed!

Mango seeds can be polyembryonic. More so with Asian mangoes from what I've read. One of the seedlings will grow true as its parent. The others will be hybrids. Is it mango season now?
