help in I.D. this caterpillar, UPDATE bird on cam

Those worms are nasty business. They took out my tomato plant in a day. They like to wrap themselves in the leaves so if you see a leaf that is folded up try pulling it apart and most likely you'll see one sitting inside it. I'm gonna have to sit out today and go leaf by leaf (shouldn't be long...

    Just goes to show...

You can grow year round down here ... just shade them during the hot summer and cover on the very few chilly nights in winter. I had to move mine on the portch to get them out of the sun till I can get a shade screen or umbrella up for them.

    Aerogarden users I need adviice/suggestions.

I love my Aerogarden. I got a totally unused one for $25 bucks first at a rummage sale for the war vets. Got a second one for free but I need to replace the pump and lights. I grew them until I couldn't raise the lvl of the light. I planted 3 bhuts, 2 Butch T's and 2 Morugas. 1 Butch and 1...

pests Poor guy needs " Stuff around the house" help with Aphids please.

Soap shouldn't have any fragrance or antibacterial in it. Think Prehesile uses tick and flea soap. Other people use neem oil with the soap and water. Hope that helps.   Angie

    Aerogarden users I need adviice/suggestions.

I haven't had to replace anything yet but i've seen people use just regular sponges for replacement ones. The bulbs you can get off of E-bay. Baskets the same way. I don't know how to make the baskets home made but others might. I know KiNG DeNNiZ does alot of aerogardens and has helped me...

Ants living in the pot with the peppers

DE doesn't work well for me here in S. FL. It's just to humid all the time, it doesn't even have to rain. Sucks cause I have a BIG box of the stuff.

Anyone else in Florida loving this weather?

Here in WPB we are finally getting some sun after about 2 days but it's been off and on rain. Ive got a 55 gal barrel, 8-9 5gal HD buckets and some other misc. buckets around collecting water. The 55 has a spout on the bottom and I've been letting the water run into the pool instead of...

Thanks guys, and thanks to admins for moving this for me. I agree with you King. Had some beautiful squash 2 years ago and saw some holes in them. I soaked them first and low and behold worms started coming out of them and was a real downer. Have a plant started now but the females aren't...

    huge leaves, what to do?

I just spent the evening separating the roots of my 5 peppers (8 weeks old) to get ready for transplant. The light is set at the highest point now so gotta get them out of there. They are huge. I got another Aerogarden for free, just needs new pump and maybe a light, and next time I'll only put...

I use nothing but rainwater. I have a bunch of HD 5gl buckets and 2 32 gal garbage cans collecting it. There are times when we can go a month without rain down here in S. FL. My only real problem is mosquitoes.
