They go funky fast.  Best to dry in oven on low or dehydrator on high.  Keeps people away and wife and kids angry.

I'm going to say ya.  It will go from yellow to red and mushy really fast.  Smells ripe, taste ripe, super hot super fast.

I use a 2/1/3 ratio osmocote fertilizer.  What ever is cheapest and in the biggest bag. I think last bag was citrus fertilizer.

I did.  Had amazing success put them out to early and they all died.  Last year was too late.  This year was to early.  Ill just shot for medium next year.   Think I do some stuff I can actually eat next year too.  Getting much harder to find victims now that I don't have any more friends.
