    Time to start over

I haven't updated in quite a while, I know. Pretty busy with work this summer, and can't add more pics til I upgrade my membership. I got fed up with the orange have not producing so I ripped them out to give the Thai's more room, and they are doing great, producing an average of twelve...

Big leaves: a good thing, or na?

My indoor plants start out with huge leaves, but as the plants get bigger the leaves get smaller and way more numerous. As the lower large leaves get shaded, they drop of the plants. Pretty normal for indoors under lights, its the plants morphogenesis to produce enough photosynthesis until...

    Mattresses

Just consider that memory foam matresses will affect your sex life. Consider the fact that they don't bounce before you buy one. In my opinion they're safer without the bouncing, less head injuries.....

    Mattresses

We have a Zinnus memory foam from amazon, and love it, but zinnus has been around for quite a while. Some of the old companies are still around because some people still swear by spring matresses and pillow tops, but I'll never go back to broken coil springs and flipping mattresses again.

Young Plant in a Big Pot - Bad Idea?

In my experience they do spend more time in root development, but once the roots are developed the growth is explosive. If you plan to grow them out in pots I don't see anything wrong with transplanting before they get root bound. Less transplant shock that way, just expect to not see any...

seeds Are Bonnie Mucho Nacho a stable hybrid?

I tried growing out seeds saved from mucho Nacho's and they didn't even resemble peppers, they looked like a nightshade berry. Don't know how, but maybe mine did cross pollinate with a hairy nightshade plant from the overgrown weeds along the creek nearby.

Large or small mesh pots for DWC?

Mostly affects stability, more hydroton means more stability for larger plants. For short stalky plants a 4 inch would be fine, but for 3 ft tall plants you would want 6 or 8 inch, and may still have to rig up supports for heavy producing plants. They don't restrict root growth if that's your...

    Growing Next to Wifi Router

The odd thing is our spider plants on top of our old crt tv grew faster then the ones on the shelf next to it in front of the same huge picture window. It seemed as though they liked the emf, and yes, the plants were all cuttings from the same mother plant.

pics Any idea why this is happening? (PICS INSIDE)

Looks like you could use some airflow on them. A small fan should help.

    New leaf problems

I would guess its a cal/mag deficiency combined with transplant shock, and not enough airflow. Besides, its normal for older leaves to drop, especially under artificial light that doesn't penetrate to all the lower leaves.

    New leaf problems

What nutrients are you feeding them, and what's the pH? If your using distilled or ro water you may need a cal/mag supplement.

How fast do your peppers grow

My large Thai hybrids had peppers before 2 months from sprouting. Orange habaneros about 3 weeks later.

seeds Have germination station with a T5 light. Question on seedlings

Don't worry, seeds will germinate under lights. I sprout mine by paper towel method, and the ones under the bright grow lights still sprouted without problems.

    paper cups?

Couldn't get small plastic cups in this little town, but the Styrofoam coffee cups are working fine. Sitting on an 85f heating pad INA 75f cabinet I'm getting soil temps around 70-73f. Thanks for the advice everyone, I already have some happy seedlings.

    glowing peppers?

I thought it kinda odd, my peppers practically glow when they ripen, at least under the grow light with ir/UV. The picture is processed to show the contrast because the lights nearly overload the camera sensor even on minimum exposure. Not just the Thais do this, even the orange habs lit up...
