    Sky's 2010 season.

Yeah. Can't bring myself to discard mah babies, so I've set up Reject's Row West and Reject's Row East. West is by a fence in morning sun, I put a Yellow Scorpion CARDI there and a few peas and I'll probably stick my Tequila Sunrise there. East is beneath my pine tree, pretty much full shade...

What to do with too much rain?

If your peppers are in containers and have good drainage, I'd let them ride if they're not showing any symptoms. I've found that a 3/4 inch spade drill bit does wonders for increasing drainage

pests Anyone use "trap crops" or companion plants for pest control?

I have a bunch of marigolds planted in my pepper beds in the ground and don't have nearly as bad an aphid problem as I do with ones in containers. I'm a believer.

fertilizer new member general question re: fertilizer

When you say watered well, how often are you talking about? Sounds like you might have overwatered them. I'd say to stick your finger in the soil, if the top inch and a half or so isn't dry or if the leaves aren't wilting, stop watering them and see if things get better.

    Douglah Cappy 2010

Cap, here's hoping you heal well. Broken ankles, while full of ouch, are preferable to severe sprains. Dunno why, but they seem to heal faster.

Well, me and the Momster make tons of salsa, so I deffo want a good haul of both. This year, though, I'm not going to be making more than a dozen or so small jars, I was planning on making salsa for humans, and then making a couple of big batches of different pepper concentrates. I could use...

    Sky's 2010 Non-pepper grow thread

Update Feel a bit bad, haven't done much with this thread, but things on the non-hot side are going fairly well with a few unavoidable stumbles. First, my italian seasoning stuff is pretty much all dead. we had a run of hot sunny days and I didn't do anything as my dog was very sick and I was...

And yeah, I read that tomato plants and pepper plants make good companions, so all the extra toms I have I'm trying to put in with peppers where I can, but then I run into problems like this: That big monster in the center is a Better Boy Hybrid tomato, and it's completely engulfed a poor...

pics U)<NOW PLANT UPDATE WITH PICS!!!

Exactly what I did for a bunch of my plants and it works beautifully. I had one that I left without protection from the sun on purpose, and it was a mess of algae and the plant was stunted. I'll see if I can scare up some pics. Edit for pics: Yellow Scorpion in a plastic cup with no...
