Hmmmm... Have to say it probably stems from the ferts, but it's not a problem of the fert. I use the stuff all the time and have nothing but growth. As stated above, were the plants stressed at all before the app? We're they really dry? Are they young, and got full strength?

Those are indeed two separate plants. They've been fertilized with synthetics. Namely miracle grow tomato formula, and the cheaper Wally World knock off called expert gardener.

Agreed with above. The thickness and skin texture reminds me of a jalp. Shot in the dark, but I'm guessing that that a jalapeño was bred into that at some point down the line. It is quite a pretty looking pepper though btw
