    Pepper flowering question

Hmmm, I definitely smell bragging rights - and they're deserved! I've seen upwards or 5, maybe 7 coming out of on junction... But this prolific little guy has some gusto! Whatever it is, keep those seeds if it retains that nature. I'd be interestd in a plant that could produce such as that.

Strange first true leaves on Tondo Piccante

Agreed with above responses. I have 2 growing now that had the same condition... After they get larger, you'll never remember which plant it was - they all end up looking "normal" in the end.

    Kitchenaid Juicer Hot Sauce

Personally, I'm loving the looks of the sauce! I really enjoy thick sauces, but my favs are thin ones that douse easily. Combine the thin aspect with what I'm sure has an amazing fresh flavor , and yours are looking superb. For separation (and mild thickening) I use xanthan gum in mine. Don't...

JutsFL pepper glog - 2014 (first from seed grow)

So here's a shot from this morning... Many of the Fresno's are starting to fully ripen now (which is great because the 2 of them are housing a serious amount of peppers!). The hot Hungarian wax are juuuuuust getting a hint of red to them. All the Habs are full, but no ripening yet. The super...

    Shoreriders Slog (Sauce log)

    pot size?

Good point... I've been in FL my whole life, so I never really though of it that way

    pot size?

Honestly, there's an opinion for most any size pot. With 2-3 gal or larger, I'd say you OK (larger end being better though). As far as "planting up" - I've never seen the need. There will be differing view points, but I've taken mine from solo cups to 5gal buckets in one step. The root system is...

I've got the nesco as well, thing works like a champ! ...and jerky is a must, it is amazing out of this thing. The little packets that first come with it actually season it up quite well too. Now i try all types of outlandish style marinades though

hybrid What Pepper Cross do you wish existed?

This thing actually looks like the Guatemalan Insanity Pepper... Grown deep in the jungles primeval, by the inmates of a Guatemalan insane asylum - I NOW NEED THIS PEPPER! Personally, I'd like to see a tobasco/scorpion cross..

Florida is trying to kill my plants (yes a little dramatic)

The rains here have been prettily wild the last few weeks, I'm right down the road in college park... Looks like tomorrow is going to be no exception either! Have all mine in 5gal buckets this time - but even that can't prevent the issues when my back yard gets 2in or so of standing water in the...

Peppers rotting on plant... Need some advice

So my pablano is suffering right now. The peppers are rotting on the plant while still green. It doesn't appear to be BER though. About 75% of the pablanos have these soft spots... (The white stuff on the outside is just dried BT spray) While on plant : Cut open: White mold on the inside of...

A fight is about to start

Agreed.. The BT (K strain) I use this one: http://www.rvfgardensupply.com/cgi/display.cgi?item_num=704596&gclid=CLXb0Lu9ob4CFaMF7AodXQgAcg Highly effective when they're young, but only moderately so when older (the catapillars that is). So pluck all the ones you see, and start weekly mistings -...
