You know what I've noticed is that all my other plants have holes in the leaves from caterpillars and snails but for some reason my orange thai plant doesn't get touched. Wonder what's up with that.

I also use both Canna and BC Technaflora. I get so much flower drop when my plants get over the 800 ppm range. But that's just for my grow style. I was told by a hydro shop owner that the manufacturers want you to use their recommendations so you use up the nutrients faster and have to buy more.

What is your hydro medium? If it's clay pebbles then you place the roots in and through the net pot if possible and poor hydroton (clay pebbles) to the very top. A large plant with a large root mass will more than likely give you a hard time in staying upright without some support system...
