    Quick question about hardening.

I live over in the uk and although we don't have extremes of heat or cold our weather is very unreliable. I sowed my seeds back in February in a propagator and as soon as the seedlings where upright I moved them to the conservatory. The conservatory is south facing so gets around 6 hours of...

Question & an evil looking pod.

They are Trinidad Scorpions... can only be that or a Dorset Naga as removed the seed's from the pod's myself ;)   The lady i purchased them from also grew Bhuts... Just Bhuts & T-Scorps. I suppose cross pollination could in theory have happened.    A few more pods that are growing with the...

Question & an evil looking pod.

Long story short 3 plants one a Naga, two T-Scorps and i got them muddled up. This little beauty grew over 5/6 days and i thought yay what a fantastic looking Naga  :onfire:     Any way i go on my holiday and come back, about 2 weeks has passed and i check on my Naga...   ...

Concerning sudden leaf problems.. suspect over fert

This was the earlier fertilizer i gave to some of my plant's...      Last year i lost a Naga to similar looking leaves. Growth slowed and all the new stuff looked similar, the mangled stuff was very sensitive to sunlight and often dried up, flower bud growth was also effected. Here is that...

Concerning sudden leaf problems.. suspect over fert

The paling that i think you might be referring to regarding low nitrogen is actually some of the leave's that have gone yellow that i mentioned earlier.    Last lot of pictures, i have put crude looking arrows   to point at some of what i'm concerned about.. this is a mixture of leaves...

Concerning sudden leaf problems.. suspect over fert

Over the years of growing, calcium or lack of it has never been a problem, you see we live in an area with extremely hard water... we have very chalky water.   Regarding the temperatures i'm lucky if it get's into the high 80's never mind the 90's :D Though in a sunny & fairly sheltered garden...

Concerning sudden leaf problems.. suspect over fert

Thank you for the link and explanation :-) The puckering is evident on around 50% of the leaves, though not always as bad as in the picture above.

Concerning sudden leaf problems.. suspect over fert

What's the "puckering"? It's crinkly/ crumple is on most of the plants now and it's largely effecting leaves on the upper half of the plants... It's a pretty sudden symptom. The yellowing leaves are on the lower to mid parts of the plants and is not such a sudden symptom. I have 8 plants...

Concerning sudden leaf problems.. suspect over fert

They are grown outside in Grow Houses (doors left folded up).   Soil is a peat/ compost mix.   Watering is regular thing, as and when needed. The plants are in plastic pot's and during hot weather dry up quite quickly.   Around 3-4 weeks back i gave some of the plant's a fertilizer that has a...

Plant's with identity crisis i think.

My 2 Trinidad Scorpions have pods that neither resemble scorpions or Dorset Naga's, and yet my Dorset Naga has pod's that look like scorpions!!   There should be no confusion as to which is which because i physically removed the seed's from their pod's and potted them up straight away. Regarding...

Anyone know of a source of fresh UK superhots?

I wish to clarify that absolutely no money was exchanged between me and Mr Kernow.

Anyone know of a source of fresh UK superhots?

Kernow guy not very reliable though. I made several attempts last year and left orders each time but he just kept forgetting or simply couldn't be bothered. Sickman peppers will posts to uk... Slightly more costly but you do get more peppers and choice :-) There is another super hot grower...

Quick update of the plants :)       That last one is currently standing 54cm... Its a Brain Strain.   ...the only one to flower so far is a Moruga.   The plants with Pods where seeded in autumn last year so just ignore them lol.

    Wilting + light green leaves

Plant it up, change the soil, keep it at modest temperature prefrably in sunshine with a breeze, and keep it well watered - without overwatering. The leaves that are damaged will eventually dry up and drop... However the stems are a nice healthy colour and the leaves will eventually grow back.

    Wilting + light green leaves

Looks like crappy soil. Looks like plants I've had in the past after the heat ha gotten to them. I'd say heat stress is probably the cause along side crappy soil that probably doesn't absorb/ hold water very well. I think it's no coincidence that it got worse as you cut back the water...

2014's plants and Questions when needed.

I will start with a question, a few of my seedlings have what appear to be paler thinner patches on some of the leaves. For the most part they have been kept in a small propagator in filtered sunlight.   I am thinking maybe sunburn?? Or some other 'sun' related problem.     reduced saturation...
