cuisines Taco Bell Ghost Pepper and Habanero Grillers

Not bad for a dollar but I still prefer the bean and cheese burrito laced with real hot sauce. I thought the hab and ghost griller both had about the same heat.

    Rest in peace P.Dreadie

I didn't know him but still have some P Dreadie Scotch Bonnet seeds. They were nice big yellow SBs. Gonna have to grow them again and make the stew. RIP.

    Hottoddy 2015 - 2016

Here's one of my Maui Purples. The peppers stay purple for a while before turning red. I keep these out front because they're so purdy!     Here's PDN x 7 Pot Douglah starting to show color. These ripen into a nice burgundy color.     One of my favorites from last year - Bhut Orange...

    WSM versus 26.75" Kettle

I see what you did there.  :surprised:     And I vote for the WSM. The kettle can be made to smoke, but it has several disadvantages.

The world's heaviest pod contest 2015

Always fun! How about categories (chinense, baccatum, etc)? Otherwise it might be a bunch of big-jim and bell-types in the winner's circle.

business Anyone tried legal zoom for an LLC?

Check with your Secretary of the State website first. Many have free online LLC creation options. It is quite easy if it's a sole member LLC. You still have to pay the annual fee (typically $100). The important thing is you understand the major legal/tax differences between an LLC, PC, S Corp, etc.

Interested to hear what you might suppose...

I'd say a nice big (MOA?) Yellow Scotch Bonnet, with Bahamian Goat as a possible backup.

    Purple Cayennes

Purple vegetables tend to lose their color when subjected to heat. Even dehydrating chiero roxa and CGN21500 on low heat causes the purple to change into a clear/tan color - can't make purple powder without some kind of die. I believe the purple pigments are very delicate and only exist in their...

You guys are happy with Foodsaver? Years ago, I heard mixed reviews of bags not holding vacuum, etc. Perhaps they have improved?

Strawberry Chocolate Brain Strain Hot Sauce (Micro Batch Test)

Thanks! Yes, just red wine vinegar. It's the same acidity (5%) as the white vinegar I usually use.     I think it turned out very good. My "tasters" have also given it positive reviews so far. It starts with a rich sweet/tart strawberry flavor, followed by a blast of warmth that doesn't...

    Not so Yellow Fatalii.

I have a "chocolate fatalii" that turned out red and is very hot too! It could just be a "red" but I suspect a cross.

    Growing Jalapenos in the woods

Good idea. Were the jalapenos red? If not, the seeds might not be viable. One year I saved a bunch of seeds from green jalapenos - because that's how I harvest most of them - and had terrible germination rates. Next time, I saved from super ripe red ones and all the seeds popped.

    Hottoddy 2015 - 2016

Some of my farm peppers at farmers market.  Pictured are Biscayne (light green) - a type of Cubanelle, Islander (purple), Tiburon (dark green) - a type of Poblano. I know these varieties aren't hot, but most regular folks buy them like crazy. We will be selling Aleppo and Ghosts soon as well.
