    seeds Saving seeds

I do it both ways, time depending. I find that chinense seeds attached to the placenta tend to dry more wavy. They dry flatter when detached separately onto a paper towel or plate.

    shade Setting up shade cloth

Lots of good ways. A lot depends on how permanent or temporary you want it. I use the tallest one of these green metal posts (I think 6 foot). I have to bend a little going underneath, but it's not a problem. I like that it can be setup and taken down fast. They have holes and clips for heavy...

    Ever Use Too Much Epsom?

I use about the same but water it in every few weeks. I also mix some into my soil. Never had any negative reactions. I don't do any foliar feeding.

overwintering Another stab at winter growing: Opinions???

It's walipini. My local farm is building one this summer in an empty, small pond. Here's a link:   http://www.treehugger.com/green-architecture/build-underground-greenhouse-garden-year-round.html

    Pineapple Rocoto

Rocotos take a long time. I've had them sit with pretty flowers for months before setting fruit in the late summer. People say rocotos do much better in subsequent years if you can overwinter. I stopped growing them.

    Peppers not hot.

You may have low capsaicin strains, but early pods are indeed funky. Definitely stick to hotter varieties. I hope your vipers and reapers don't turn out to be habs!

    Hottoddy 2015 - 2016

Here's some Sugar Rush Peach plants at the farm location. I can't wait to try these. The drip line with much on top seems to be working well, but plants in the ground definitely grow a bit slower this time of year.     This was taken about a week ago at my house. The back row also has tomatoes...

    Hot Pepper Safety

Welcome! Blue nitrile gloves & respirator (especially for cleanup or making powder) or see below. If possible, cooking outside or garage (propane burner, cooking stove) can save the family from fumigation. Sometimes I make sauce when no one is home. I open all the windows, bring in all the fans...

    Peppers turning brown

I would give all some water soluble calcium nitrate and epsom salts (mag) to address the problem quickly. All my plants get this upon planting out, and a few times during the season as needed. Make sure to follow directions and not go too heavy.

    Anybody getting caramel Brain Strains?

I also had low germ rates for CPR, maybe 3 or 4 outta 10.   Regarding Cappy's Choco Brainstrain, many of my fresh pods (two boxes) could be called caramel, Some were definitely light chocolate, or had reddish tones. I'm growing about 20 plants, so well see how they turn out ... Either way...

The Album that changed your life!!!

I was aware of their earlier albums, but purchased this the day it was released in 1984. As a newbie guitar player, it made a big impression and remains one of my favs. I saw them in concert shortly thereafter.
