Is a Brown & Chocolate Hab the same?

Yeah that's kida what I was thinking as well. I'm gonna grow both Varieties separately and see what they are. It could be interesting. I also want to save the seeds from both. I think both will be really good peppers and in fact I actually have higher expectations out of these than I do my...

Is a Brown & Chocolate Hab the same?

Whether or not its a "real" hab may be up in the air but I was just wondering if the brown and chocolate are the same thing whether they are a hab or a congo or anything else for that matter

    heat Hottest cayennes

The Charleston Hot variety is pretty darn good. I've had it in the past and liked. AJ, I almost tried Super Cayenne II Hybrid this year but ended up getting chinense varieties instead. I bet that is indeed a good pepper. I'll try it next year

    My Fatalii look crappy

I started them in my reptile room which is 80-85F, then moved to a different room where there is more light, temps are around 75F. I water when the soil starts getting "dryish" looking. I havent fertilized yet except what is already in the soil. I'm doing it the same as all my peppers but these...

    My Fatalii look crappy

Really? Hmmmm do they like it drier than other peppers? I am growing these the same as my others. I've never grown these before so I was kinda wondering what's going on. They are the only ones that are looking like that

Taco Bell's "volcano taco" is more like a small campfire unless you do like me and take your own bottle of sauce to soup it up

    My Fatalii look crappy

Are these more difficult to grow than others? For some reason mine dont look all that great. Here is a pic that represnts all of them. Makes me glad I didnt partake in the friendly competition going on here. I kinda think (hope) they will grow out of it. I'm doing everything just like I am all...

    sowing vs plantout times................

You sure about that? I started a few of mine in November and they arent. Last year I started some "hots" in February and the unripe pods got zapped in Mid October by the first hard frost of the year

    seeds Yellow leaves on seedlings....

I am a breeder of tropical arachnids for museums, zoos and the pet trade so I can say that you are absolutely correct about the coco retaining moisture very very well. I have used both coco and peat for tropical arachnids so I am very familiar with this. Both retain moiture very well and...

In need of some growing tips, please.

Oh and what are you growing? Some types naturally grow leggier. Here is an example, on the left is B R-Bow and on the right is Aji Amarillo. Both grown side by side and seeds planted within a week of each other

In need of some growing tips, please.

How big are your "seedlings"? What I call a seedling is too small to be pruning. Like AJ said, if they are leggy looking you need more light

    smoking Today's Lunch!

Grilling in a Winter Wonderland! Today I stayed home again as traveling around the 7 counties I cover is too hazardous. So I fired up the grill yet again! The best thing about snow is that it is easy to keep my LAST beer cold Most folks around here dont like snow but I think the scenery is...
