    Holes in leaves

I think I would light off a small nuke near my plants if I saw those.  They look scary as hell, although I am sure they are like any other caterpillar and are fairly harmless overall.

    JA Henkles warranty

All my knives are Henckles.   Had a Pro-S(one of the top of the line knives) 8" chef knives develop a 90 degree crack in the blade, no clue how, wasnt used much(compared to the rest of my knives).  Sent them a picture, they said send the knife and they replaced it.  Great customer service.

pics Signs of overwatering or naw? (Pics inside)

im on a 2 week watering cycle this winter, even my new plants in solo cups.  I think I could actually go longer on the new plants, but they get bottom watered from the runoff when I water my big plants.

    should i intervene?

looks dry(the seed that is).  Spray it down and try to keep it wet.  If it dry's out it will shrink and stick.

    soil Soil for raised bed

crepe myrtle, from what I know, root out horizontally and not vertically, thats one reason they are used in Texas all the time because we tend to have shallow soil and high bed rock.  Just a thought on tree selection if you are planning on planting vegetables in your raised beds.

    soil Soil for raised bed

Dont forget to allow 3-5" for mulch.  If you allowed 6", that cuts you down to 15 cu. yds. basically(~7.5 per).  I knew this, but when they delivered my soil and I had a ton left over I just started packing it in.  Im going to actually build another row on to the top of my raised beds to allow...

    soil Soil for raised bed

yea 19 cu. yards IS A SHIT LOAD OF SOIL.   I have four(4) 4'x6'x18" raised beds and only needed about 4.5 cu. yds. of soil.  I think the company delivered like 7 cu. yds. as I had a lot left over.

    trouble

I had some seeds in a plastic container with wet paper towel directly on a heating mat.  They didnt germinate after 2 weeks.  I started new and did zip lock bags and wet paper towel and elevated them off the heating pad thinking the heat was just to hot.  About 2 days after I took the plastic...

    rjacobs 2016 GLOG

yup every original seed that I started germinated and now I have at least 6 more of each variety and a few have popped.  I cant bring myself to throw them away though so I am sure I will get them going and then give them away to somebody at my church.

    2 peppers, 1 flower???

Just noticed this on one of my Reapers that is the most prolific plant I have.     It appears to be pushing 2 conjoined peppers out of 1 flower.  Not sure what to call this.

Buffalo Wild Wings, thoughts on blazin sauce.

It aint the sauce, its the fryers are nasty IMO.  My stomach gets destroyed(well lets be honest, its my colon) very quickly after I eat there no matter what sauce I get.  I can eat wings anywhere else and be good to go, but BW's wrecks my guts.

Did my peppers flower too early?

Some will say to remove them from such small plants to give the plants more energy to grow.   IMO they probably wont set fruit and if they do it might not be true pheno due to them being immature.   I tend to leave my plants alone and let them do their thing when they want to.  When you try to...

seeds Whoa. WTF is this? Seedling mystery

    Your best heating pad

I bought a sunlight supply heating pad and had good luck with it.  I read the recommendation for it when I got seeds from superhotchilis.com.

    greenhouse Greenhouse still chugging along!!

If you are still chugging along in OKC(oklahoma city I presume) than I should be good in DFW to grow year round if I build up some green house frames for my raised beds.   What did your plants do when the couple of blizzard/really cold snaps came through a few weeks/month ago?

Is this anything I should worry about?

yup, stop watering them for a while.   Your first pic, the cotyledon leaves look like them have edema which is caused by over watering.   My seedlings are about on the same schedule as my big plants, right at 2 weeks between watering.  My 4 biggest seedlings(out of about 30 right now) were...

overwintering Massive Pepper Plants in the winter

You are going to need more light eventually.   That light is what 4x4?  IMO that is good for about 2-4 plants as they get a lot bigger.   My 900w LED will cover a 4x4 area and my 4 reapers have completely engulfed that 4x4 area and are shading out everything else.   You are probably ok for now...

    rjacobs 2016 GLOG

I started a second batch of bell pepper seeds today.  First batch has been in the seed starter(tupperwear with paper towel) for almost 2 weeks.  Only got 5 of almost 30 seeds to germinate, of course all of the same kind.  So I started new batches in zip lock bags with paper towels of the 3...
