Browning's first glog, 2014. Work in progress

I topped a few a while back.  I believe the douglah x butch t, bulgarian carrot and lumbre was topped.  I plan to do the same with the ones in the windowsill and the others I haven't posted yet.  Iam also going to strip most of the leaves and only leave a couple up top.

Awesome.  The kids will love them.  My nieces found them weird but liked them a lot.  lol

    Tomato sprouts getting too tall!

they should be fine for a little while longer before needing to be transplanted.  I agree, get them 2-3" under the lights.  T8's shouldn't burn them.  Some of my peppers have touched the lights for days and were fine.    Did you start any of the wapsipinicon peach tomatoes? :)

    Tomato sprouts getting too tall!

tomatoes grow at a much faster rate than peppers so it still makes sense they're simply not getting the light they need to keep from stretching.  Good thing is they will root all the way up the stalk so when you transplant, bury them deeper.  In the meantime, get better light or at least get...

Grow Shelf. What type of Lining?

white plastic sheeting works great.  I avoid anything foil like.  Sure it reflects but it also creates hot spots.   Just had a look at the setup.  Personally, I would leave the front open, and wrap the sides and back with plastic but leaving a few inches of gap at the top of each shelf that...
