Comfortably numb with new anesthesia method

Most "synthetic" drugs are inspired by natural products. I attended a lecture by Bruce Roth (the guy who created Lipitor) and most drug chemisty research starts with a known natural product, and a new drug is designed based on the 3D structure of the natural product, oftentimes making...

    Scoville rating question.

Scoville is essentially a concentration unit. If numerous samples are taken, the average of samples of 50k product would be 50k. Easy way to remember it is 1 tsp 50k + 2 tsp 50K = 3 tsp 50k; it is not an additive process.

    what should I buy?????

I stand by my own recommendation :onfire: It doesn't have other peppers, has a minimum amount of vinegar, and doesn't have other spices sharing the palate, and the heat won't disappoint. Ace is good, but its spices, most notably black pepper, in it. I just don't know if you can get Cape Fear...

    Hatari pepper ??

Uncle Big, this is the first ingredient listed on your Killer sauce. Could you shed some light please because I was wondering the same thing. I noticed that Hatari Bros. sauces have a similar taste component...almost like cumin and I was wondering if that was from the "Hatari" ingredient...

    what should I buy?????

Haven't had Nucking Futs, Liquid Stoopid, Talon, Chai, Wanza's, but the rest are pretty good. Kato's is the only tomatillo sauce I like (namely because I'm not a tomatillo person...yet), Fatalii fire is good *IF* you like Fatalii - some people don't like the taste as it has a different taste...

    what should I buy?????

Actually, I keep a spreadsheet that contains info on every sauce I try. The notes aren't very detailed, but I usually give a sauce two classisifications based on peppers/type, a heat scale, and some brief notes on my impression of the sauce, so I have a compiled record. I was consulting it...

    Big Disappointment

Figueroa Bros. mainly market to the novelty / "I have no clue what I'm doing" crowd, and in my hot sauce infancy I bought a few. Suffice it to say they are all on my "try before I buy" mental list.

    what should I buy?????

If you know what kinds of peppers/sauces you like, then what you may want to do is look at the ingredients (sweatandspice.com usually lists them) and then give us a list for feedback. Based on your other posts, my impression is that flavor is secondary to heat for you, so I don't know how much...

food I NEED SOME ADVISE PLEASE ANSWER MY POLL

I'm with THP...I would think that the same recipe would get a similar result, even if the judges are different. I'm not an expert - hell if I were a judge I'd name myself winner for being smart enough to get the job of chili judge - but in my mind, the same process should produce the same results.

    Some good Super Hots?

Yes, but you could simulate the taste of extract sauces by licking a dogs crotch...by the way, anyone see the commercial for "The Sara Silverman Show" where they show her tasting a dog's crotch after seeing the dog do it? Ugh...nasty!

    who else does this ????

Like any other chemical, your body can build up a tolerance to capsacium. It's no different than caffiene, herion, cocaine...you build up a tolerance to a chemical you frequently encounter.

Latex gloves aren't worth a damn when it comes to chemical permiability; I don't even bother with latex gloves in the lab. You need nitrile gloves, but they cost more. You get what you pay for...
