    Looking for the non-toppers

I only top when I need to due to space issues when starting plants indoors. Our growing season is too short here to make topping worthwhile otherwise.

Can I top and keep a Tomato Plant short and still produce?

I always prune my tomato plants. I don't have enough support structures for 10' tomato plants and mine go nuts every year. I am frequently cutting back my tomato plants and I also clean them up and remove any branches/leaves that are looking brown. I always have more tomatoes than I know what to...

Oldest seeds that you have germinated

Oldest I've personally germinated were 4 years old, stored in a sealed bag in the fridge using peat pellets and a heat mat. Had close to 100% germination.

seeds has anybody ever ordered seeds from the hippy seed company?

I've ordered from them and it took roughly 4 weeks to arrive to me in Canada. 4-6 weeks is pretty standard I find for getting anything from Australia. All but one type of seeds I ordered from there grew true, which is fairly on par with most of the vendors that I ordered from. I would order...

    Pink Tiger

I have 2 pink tiger plants and not a single pod from either of them yet. I don't even think that they have flowers yet. All of my other pepper plants have pods on them. I am thinking that it will be wishful thinking for me to see anything from these plants this year since frost will be hitting soon.

seeds When can I start germinating?

I have found that germinating seeds from fresh pods has worked faster than dried seeds.

Kung Pao peppers turn brown then purple

I've got Kung Paos growing but so far everything is still green (tons of pods though!). The one that you have sitting on top is how most of my peppers tend to look when they go from green to red as the colour is changing.

Screw city life: Lanscape with peppers

My front flower bed is full of pepper plants, with a couple flowers in between and a tomato plant on the end. So far no complaints from anyone, but it doesn't look crazy invasive or anything. The backyard is full of fruit trees, fruits and veggies!

Well, color me surprised - Unusual Bell Peppers

I have a pepper plant labelled "sweet bell" that my mom picked up for me and the peppers are all starting out that colour as well. The label has pictures of yellow, orange, red and greeny/yellow peppers on it so who knows what colour it will ripen to.

    Bad Pepper Year This Year.....

I'm having the same issue with mine. I planted outdoors at the end of May, the following day it snowed on them (ugh), they lost their leaves but didn't die. They are now growing back with pathetic little leaves. There are a couple flowers on some and the odd pod. I'm crossing my fingers that...
