Don't overwater and keep it in the shade for a couple of weeks.   Should be fine.

I've always noticed the ants crawling on my peppers,  but had no idea what they were doing until I found aphids.   I'll try some ant traps,  sound like a good idea.

Thanks,  I'll try coffee grounds,  I have plenty of that..    Does this kill or repel them?

They are everywhere and eat all the new growth.   Anybody know of a safe way to kill these things? I don't want to mess with copper tape and beer traps.   

This looks like root damage.   Keep it in the shade and it might recover.    Direct sun will kill it for sure.   Good luck..
