When should I transplant and harden off my plants?

So, id say start hardening them off now. When your nighttime temps are consistently 50+, out they go! They can handle 45 but thats cutting it a little too close for my liking.

When should I transplant and harden off my plants?

Are you transplanting into pots or the ground? My last frost date is 4-1 and I begin setting them out about a week before that, just to get them ready. I keep an eye on the extended forecast around my last frost date and when I see 10 days of acceptible nighttime temps they go out to their pots...

They look good to me. I'd say it's time to pot up and give them some light.

    Yelanfam Farms 2019 GLOG

I hope you have better luck with Baker Creek than I did. Out of the 6 varieties that I ordered, 4 were not the correct variety and one was a complete no-show. Anyway, Im contemplating doing something similar next year, so I will be following your progress. Good luck on the upcoming season!

    Material for DIY Fabric Pots?

Thanks for the info. I used black fabric pots last year. I wasn't happy about the water usage of the 7 gallon pots, mostly due to this ridiculous southern heat, but the larger 50 gallon bags held moisture very well. I think I watered my YBS 3 or 4 times in about 5 months! Also, it was hard to...

    Material for DIY Fabric Pots?

I am wanting to make a few of my own pots this year, and also have a few raised beds/boxes that I want to line. Any ideas on where I can find a roll of good material? And what is the stuff called? I can't find much through Google.

seeds My Method for Starting Seeds

I use this same method. Saves a lot of time opening bags and unfolding paper towels to check for sprouts. It seems that I always have a few stubborn varieties that don't want to germinate uncovered, so I will throw a layer of paper towel on those to get them to pop.

    Yellow Bonnet or ???

Looks like a regular grocery store "hab" to me. Actually a cross called a Spartacus, I believe. Not certain, just my opinion.

    soil Soil temperatures too hot?

It's probably a little on the hot side. I would put a towel or two down and recheck your temp.

When should I start my baccatums?

My Baccatums always out perform my Chinenses in the grow tent, but once they hit the dirt they Branch out like crazy without a lot of fruit production, at least until the roots are established. I find that Bishop's Crown and Aji Fantasy are bad about doing this. Aji Pineapple and Lemon seems to...

Not the best pic but it's the only one I have. This was a particularly large pheno that I got from it last season. The majority of the pods were much smaller.
