2016 garden will you have more or less peppers ?

For my spring season planting, I plan on ripping out 5 mature plants to build raised beds, one of which will be for peppers. I'll likely plant at least 10 in there. I've picked up Mayan love chiles and Aji cristal to plant (both Baccatums) and I'll plant some MOA yellows and some different...

Variety unknown, but it has a hell of a bite!

Awesome! I have a fake one that looks like that and I hide it around to scare the birds. Glad to see the real ones reinforcing the snake in the peppers concept to the flying pepper-theives

Is this mold? Help a newbie, please!

Privyet! Moskva ochin krascvya gorat! Sevoydnya holodnya? Congrats on managing to find & grow chiles up there--nice plant! Hope you & your plant stay warm! At least in the summer, you'll have great weather to grow outside.

    Marianne 2015-2016 Grow

The upcoming forecast keeps changing, now there is a night next week possibly down to 48, but since most of my plants are sheltered they shouldn't be too effected. I should have at least 2 more weeks of good setting weather before the growing season finishes up. I probably have around 150 pods...

    karoo's 2015 glog

    Trident's "It's all about the Bonnet" 2015

Thanks for the reply--you had quite the selection, I bet it would be hard to choose. I'm not going to plant them until Feb/March so I'll let you know if I need any seeds. Big thanks! Really nice grow, enjoyed reading about it

    Marianne 2015-2016 Grow

Thanks! My shading is from either planting under trees (experimenting what side of tree & how to trim canopy) or planting near structures. Shade cloth would either rot in the sun or blow away. We get powerful storms with regularity and anything that isn't a fixed structure has trouble. The...

    Trident's "It's all about the Bonnet" 2015

I've been watching your glog for most of the season & im curious--what variety was your favorite bonnet? I promised a buddy I'd grow him some bonnets for sauce so I'm curious what conclusion you came to this season

    Marianne 2015-2016 Grow

I grow in a subtropical zone where anuums are native weeds so, it is a pretty fun place to garden. Chiles and other nightshade plants are perennials here and I've never lost one to the winter. If they die, it is from birds, heat (looking at you, tomatoes) or soil fungus. Phytopythora and the...

    Greetings from the desert!

I know what you mean about the snow--no thanks! I've lived in the heat my whole life so I can handle the heat but am a pitiful mess in the cold. Plus, the heat is great for all of my gardening. Thank you for your service as a fire fighter and all you guys do for the families of the fallen.

    Greetings from the desert!

Long-time lurker, finally decided to join. I grow in such a different environment that I mostly joined to do a glog as reference to anyone who needs growing info in harsh desert conditions. So different than how most of you grow! I really enjoy anuums--since I live in their native region...
