Yup, mid March is usually just fine here. I get worried though with this nutty winter we have had. Not but like 3-4 days of actual cold. I'm a bit worried that we will get snow in April!

Man those things suck BAD from what I've seen. A co-worker gets them once a month! He is from IL and has had problems since he moved down here twenty something yrs ago. His doc said the change in chemicals in the water affects some people that way..... Get well soon Greg =)

Silva, all mine go in 1/2in deep and I have not had any issues. The key is moisture control. Look at your seed starter mix in dry state, a light brown shade of some source. Now water the tray up real well. You see moisture on top, almost as heavy as if you sprayed the top? You don't want that...

They have used up all the available food sources they have and are giving out from it I'd say. Give them some food and wait...... They will come back IMO

Those will work for ya. I run 2700 and 6500Ks till plant out and they do great.

They sit about 4-5in away. I put the tray of peppers on some empty pots to get them closer yesterday. When I got home from work they showed signs (slight) of burn, so I put them back flat. They were about 1in away. Don't do that. These big CFLs do put some heat out. They are growing fine as is...
