I've used the adhesive traps and the mice get so ensnared that they can't even move. Never saw any flesh tearing. Just place them in a small air thight container or small plastic bag and they than asphyxiate quietly. Watch your ferrets they might get into the traps out of curiosity. Speaking of...

Likely Na is washed out since it more soluble leaving Ca, Mg behind as a carbinate and/or sulfate depending on the water. The sweatness, well who knows what other compounds are left in the residual. You're not dead so it;s not to bad. ;)
Looks like an assassin bug to me. It lacks the spins on it's shoulder and the markings on it's wings are different than the stink bug. They are one of the few creatures native that will go after the marmorated stink bug.
I sure hope so plus some of these worms grew up amoung the roots of an ancient Chinkapin Oak that has at least a 4 foot girth. So any microbes they bring with them should be from the original virgin forest.
All this rain we're having has brought up the earth worms out onto the concrete sidewalks and streets. Picked a couple dozen for the garden and couple more dozen for the small composte box I've started. Choose only the largest, the fatest and livest, and made sure none of them bite.
