    Grass Snake's 2015 Glog

Which ones I still have a few seeds. Our winter has been pretty mild so far and I'm not complaining. I was meaning pods, because I'm already at my max capacity of 150+ plants. I might have some Bahamian goat seeds left it you want to give them a go because I already have 4 seedlings. They are...

    Grass Snake's 2015 Glog

Good luck in 2015! I'm in Dallas too, and since you have some varieties that I don't, perhaps we can work out a trade when you get there. Enjoy our nice winter... so far...

    The Joy of Woking

I'm a big fan of the Ghee sitting there in post #49.   Magic butter.   It's really easy to get a little warm and infuse with herbs or garlic too.

Added. Cool idea too, especially for plant and seed exchanges.

    afr0n0mes first ever grow :D

Nice work! Looking good. Better success than I had my first time planting seeds. When I first started it may as well have been called a seedling mass-murder.

How much would you pay for seedlings?

I'm with everyone else that $3-5 per plant depending on the variety and in a ~4 inch pot is the right price. +1 for myco enhanced plants as well. I myco all my plants and it definately provides extra vigor and fortitude. Less of a battle at plant out as hybrid mode stated.

    Slade122's 2014 Greenhouse GLOG

Bahamian Goat, Aji Pinapple, Fatalii, Golden Marconi (Replant), Malaysian Goronong, Mulato Isleno, Peter Pepper (Red), Shishito, Yucatan White Hab, Orange Manzano, MCP. The Fatalii and Goronongs are at 0% Germination after about 2 weeks. Peter pepper germination percent was incredibly low as...

    Bhut Jolokia-Attempt 2

Peppers need quite a bit of light, even as seedlings. The soil needs to stay damp, but not wet. Definitely do not over or under water though, kills off a seedling pretty quickly.   After 3 or 4 weeks they are quite a bit easier to take care of, and only get easier as they get bigger, because...

Why aren't my ghost pepper hot???

I love this... He's apparently a rapid rooter salesman too!     "Rapid rooter Starter Plugs and Mats reduce germination time to 10 days !!!! Normaly ghost pepper seeds take 6-8 weeks to hatch"     The english isn't crafted all that well, so you should know what to expect. It is entirely possible...

Is it better to brush pollinate like this

If you're outdoor growing... Bees. They do work for you, and they give you food! Otherwise, like geeme said, a thump to the container is all that is needed.   I haven't figured out an exact rhyme or reason to why my plants put off plumes of pollen sometimes, and at other times do not. Humidity...

What peppers got your interest for next season?

It's not impossible, there is another thread on it from 2009. Every single time I mention the cross, most people have a similar level of disbelief.   However, it does appear that this cross is extremely difficult to obtain, and there seems to be hardly any information on it.   My seed is from...

    pH change with reduction?

If evaporation only, and the plant is taking up nothing, then the PH will go down linearly with the reduction in water.   Generally, the plants in a hydro system cause the PH to go up as they consume the nutrients more quickly than the water evaporates in most sealed indoor systems (with adult...

    The Joy of Woking

Oh my god. The Chou dofu. After a while your brain just shuts your nose off because the smell is so offensive. Kind of smells like an open sewer pit, heard it tastes amazing though. I'm pretty adventurous and daring when it comes to food, but not enough to try the Chou Dofu. I probably...

    The Joy of Woking

Alright, I'll throw down on this one to end it once and for all.   I lived in Taiwan for three months. During my time there, I would say 70 percent or so of the woks I saw were steel - in varying sizes from ultra huge to moderate size. That being said, the other 30% or so were cast iron, mostly...

The pics speak for themselves this week. I won't be making a long-winded post like usual. I didn't use any fertilizer this week, still responding well from last weeks dose.   Left to right: Early Jalapeno, Cherry, Fish   Left to right: Fish, Scotch Bonnet, Long Thai, Maule's Red Hot   Left to...

pics sp33d's DIY DWC/drip hydro system and DIY clone/seed germination/grow tent **lots of pics*

Just a heads up, those drip rings are a total PITA. I have a couple setups like that, and have had too many "mishaps" go on with them - killing some wicked huge plants. They definitely can't be left for more than a few days at most.   You will probably have the drill out the drip holes once a...
