    I did buy it from Uwajimaya. Also from www.thewasabistore.com  Uwajimaya is an actual grocery store, so you can sort through and pick the one you want. But the online WasabiStore.com is the actual farm. It was a very easy transaction, and a good product they sent me. 

Wasabi is a really tough plant to grow. It needs a very specific environment, and it grows very slowly. Would be really cool to know if someone here was attempting to grow some, but unless they live in the pacific northwest or Japan and have the patience of Job, don't count on it.

Get in contact with these guys: http://www.uwajimaya.com/   They have fresh wasabi , and it won't break your piggy bank and they do mail order. They don't have online store, so either call or email them.
