Plant stalk splitting, which one do I chop off?

Your dirt looks really wet. Make sure you don't over water them.

    It s a Go!

I've used it before. It doesn't stink unless you let it sit out and ferment. Use it immediately and it's fine. It works decently, but it's NPK is going to vary greatly depending on your diet. That's why I don't use it. No control with it.

    NoooooOOOOOOOoOOOOO!!!!!!

Neem works great on them in my yard. I only get them for about a 2 month period between to cold and blazing hot down here. I just hit my plants weekly w/ neem and I'm good to go. Good luck killing them all. No Mercy.

    dried making own Chipotle

I've only ever used Mesquite as well. I'll have to try some different woods this year to see how the flavor is impacted. I can get Pecan scraps for free, might as well try it.

    Seaweed - help needed

Cool. That's what I have been using mixed into my Alfalfa tea, but I haven't been letting it ferment for 7-10 days. I usually let it sit for 3 days or so. I saw the package said "roasted" the other day and then worried that anything good in the Seaweed was roasted/cooked out of it. I'll be...

    Quinoa

I can't stop amaranth from growing. It comes up on it's own every year in the thousands. We pick tons of it up as seedlings for fresh greens. Right now I have maybe 35 or so Amaranth plants starting to bloom. I grow Elephant head, Opopeo, and Love lies bleeding. I think I may have one Orange...

    Seaweed - help needed

Are you using the standard Roasted Nori? Or is there an unroasted kind I am not seeing? I've been paying crazy prices for Kelp meal and would love a cheaper alternative.

    Possibly a dumb question..

I killed several plants last year with that Miracle grow organic choice crap. Evil stuff as far as I am concerned.

    fertilizer Doh! fertilizer burn

Just take it real easy on them and hope the ride it out. Some make it some don't, it all depends on how burned they got and how well you flushed them. If they are in pots they are usually easier to save from what I've seen. I got a batch of nutes last year that was royally screwed up. Really...

And make sure you are actually using soap and not a detergent. Detergents kill plants.

    overwintering My overwinter plants

Your plants are looking happy and seem to be bouncing back well. I don't want to bum you out, but I doubt that's an Aji lemon. It's leaves look nothing at all like mine do. It'll be interesting to see what it is.

    Why pots/buckets

That's what suppressors are made for. Plus then you get a free dinner.

    Plant Cell/Tissue Culture

I've always wanted to try this method but have never taken the plunge. I'd be really interested to watch some one actually using this technique. All I have ever seen of it is advertisements, and not actual home users.

    Tolerance to Peppers.

Just go for broke and get it over with I say. It isn't going to make that much difference either way. You can spend some time making friends with the Habs if you want to, But it really isn't going to prepare you much for what a superhot is going to do. That and they just taste so good you can't...

    annuum Explaination for Jalapeno Burn?

I've grown Jalapeno's before that were simply not edible they hurt so bad. Not a good burn, not a normal chili burn, just pain. Bhut's and 7pods are still very hot to me, but are edible and enjoyable. Sometimes you get a Jalapeno that isn't enjoyable at all. Just pain pain pain. I don't know...

    photography Pet picture thread!

Nah, no breeding. These guys are both fixed. Our pugs actually do great in the heat down here in Phx. I come home from work in July sometimes and they are laying upside down out in the grass sunning their belly. We've been lucky and didn't get pugs that do the constant snot spraying and choking...

    Christmas Island Rock Phosphate

Thanks for the tip (Especially the burn outside part). Calcium has always been the main element I have problems with down here. I do foliar feeding for everything else, makes sense to do it this was for Ca as well.

Bougainvillea - anyone else growing these indoors?

Face plant! I love smash faced dogs. I never ever wanted little dogs until my wife insisted on a Pug. I'll always have a pair of them around now. I just stuck some pics of mine on that same thread.
