    ThePepperGrowingMan's 2011 Grow Log

Glad those Jonahs worked out Jeremy - that original plant is still kickin' and on it's 3rd year. Another superhot I can barely tolerate, but nice for powder. Great pics, those Chocolate Bhut pods look fantastic.

    CMPMAN1974's 2011 Growing Log - Started 1/29/11

Those Biquinho pods look cool Chris. It's hard to find unique pod shapes these days. It seems like everything has already been "discovered".

It looks exactly like the Chocolate Bhuts I'm growing. They are very nice pods.

    Mill's 2011

Beautiful plants Mill! Another fantastic photo journey that took me days to get caught up on.

    North facing window

They look bad because they are over fertilized. The Miracle Grow soil already has more than you need for the whole year. If you get any pods in a North window, they will be few and small. You can harden plants off outside slowly in 100% shade. They'll still grow outside better in the shade...

hydroponic Hydroponic nutrients on soil-less promix peppers

Most Pro-Mix has starter nutrients, which for peppers, probably goes a long way. I gave my seedlings nothing but water until they were about 3 inches tall or so. Them some dilute Neptune fish nutes.

Thanks, Kevin - they're among my best plants for sure. A have to give props to Jason(dakota_115) from Alaska for more great seeds - he sent me some fine stuff and I still have to grow 2 of them. (Giant White Hab x Bhut, Yellow 7 Pod)

Thanks Bleash, they've already hurt me. I'm used to it. They're tasty, but I love Bhuts. Thanks Patrick. Everything's slowing down a little now, we had a record July for heat in the DC area. I'm hoping August will be a little milder.

I was shocked actually. Peppers like containers but love the ground. Thanks much - the garden is easy and Yellow Scorps would be a great choice. Yup, they're sweet! Thanks!

Chocolate Bhut pods ↓ Wegmans Serrano plant ↓ Wegmans Serrano pods ↓ I like the size and flavor of these Serranos, and although they have a decent kick, they are not as blazing hot as some I've grown before. Next year I plan on growing 2 types of Serrano, both seed sourced from Sustainable...

When I realized I had more plants than I needed back in March I decided to sell a few seedlings and also start a lazy mans garden. I threw a tarp on a patch of grass behind my house for a few months trying my best to kill it. Then I just bordered it with some planks and threw my growing pile...

Cayennes rotting on the plant, HELP!

"I use a great deal of organic matter in the ground garden and in my potting soil mixture and I try to minimize the use of fertilizers" I think you can safely eliminate all fertilizers for the rest of this year. Just be more careful watering, give those babies a little more shade and I'm...
