Good place to be when i've got something to post about AJ :D
wierdest season ever - over 100 sprouted then moved from seed trays to cups with fresh potting mix.......& thats all that happened LOL. They grew roots fine but never got any bigger above ground than seedlings
Great, I'd take...
if only it was that easy Trippa - i got seeds years ago when 7-pots first started being mentioned on this forum.....got a bunch of seeds from a half a dozen different places and when they grew out i knew i had 3 varieties.....and I never tracked down what they were.
After my devastating douglah disaster it looked like i'd have no superhots this season then while mowing found a 7-pot poking through the hedge & fence into my yard. Only way it could have gotten there is one of mine dropped a pod during last years flood. I ate a ripe one & it's a 7-pot for...
no - having a weird season. I transplanted all the seedlings into cups (with holes) & well they haven't grown. They're still seedling size. I transplanted a few into new potting mix a few weeks ago to see what the roots are doing - roots are growing fine - but theres no new leaves happening.

There is method in the madness...the neem & the Insect & Mite Killer is to kill anything that is bringing them in as passengers...Kocide Blue Xtra fungicide is specifically for Black spot & Leaf curl ( it contains Copper present as Cupric Hydroxide)
...i'm figuring they get in via other bugs &...
So I used 4 products in all. A spray bottle with Neem, Kocide Blue Extra (Garden Fungicide by Multicrop) & Yates (Insect & Mite Killer)
Gave it 3 good soakings with the spray over 12 days. Picked off any curled leaves twice a day & bagged & binned them. After 12 days I hit the plant with a good...
my plant has been looking much better None of the older/larger leaves have had any damage & just a few of the newer growth is turning curly ( i pick it off, bag & bin it) I'll post some info tomorrow of what I've been using so far.
Tomorrow I'll start Plan B & see if I can get rid of the last...
Was a nice warm day yesterday, so i sprayed again. Of course it not only rained but got some small hail too.....will try a 3 rd time today.
On the + side, new leaves are popping up from the cut-back & they look normal
they are an ugly piece of work....but i'll find a way to nuke them. Of course after spraying last night it rained & looked like raining again today so i didn't re-apply. Already preparing a plan B. Will keep you posted.
very interesting musky - its a shame the "specific chemical control recommendations" link goes nowhere. I cant see me dunking the whole plant in hot water but maybe a blow-dryer would work
I've mixed up a batch of neem, Natrasoap with Potassium salts of fatty acids (a miticide) & Cupric Hydroxide (a fungicide).....can you tell i'm just reading off the labels LOL. Have also removed all the leaves & branches that showed any sign of damage so any sign of damage from here on will mean...
